1.00The trip itself was nice. Tyson was pretty decent. He took pictures for us and he held my backpack when he saw that I was struggling as we got closer to the top. If you are coming from Arusha, they charge $40 (cash only) per person for the pick-up. They also informed us that we would have to pay $85 per person for the park ($170 total) and that they take credit cards at the park. No problem. We went got to the park, there was a problem with the credit card machine and after about 30 minutes of waiting, they told us we could pay after the hike. We paid, but when we got back to the states, we saw that there was a charge for $965 on our credit card statement. Kilinge Adventures reached out to the park for us and kept telling us not to worry and that we would get our money back from the park. After several promises that we would get our money back, I reached out directly to the park. The park said they would look into the matter and never got back to us even after I followed up with them several times (I mean, radio silence to this day). We still have not gotten our money back after almost a month. I don't think this is Kilinge Adventures fault as the charge came from the park, but I did want to warn everyone to pay cash at the park so that they cannot charge you more than they say they will. And hold on to your receipt. By the way, our official booking was "Best Kilimanjaro hiking day trip tour with Kilinge Adventures", but didn't see that as an option in the drop-down menu.

5.00Nice one day trek with Bubusha, well organized and on time. Peaceful location in the forest and you get a feeling of Kilimanjaro. I recommend going on Sunny days to see Kilimanjaro from the viewpoint.

Yusuph, the head of Reservation, responded almost immediately, offering me various options and giving me advice. I finally chose the Machame Day Trip.
