Be in shape to climb 1300 feet. Bring proper shoes for a hike. Bring water. Bring a drone for better pictures and video. Our tour guide Josue was knowledgeable and accommodating.

This was a beautiful hike and although we didn't get the chance to see the crater at the top of the mountain( weather conditions) we got to see some incredible views. Coatepec is also something worthy of a postcard and you can't miss visiting the lake! Gaby was a personable and very educated guide that made the experience even better.

I absolutely loved this tour. It was a good size group (22) and Diego did an amazing job. He got us up the volcano safely and gave a really good explanation with stop along the way. Highly recommend!

Definitely something everyone must do when visiting El Salvador! Big thank you to our guide, Diego. He explained everything that was planned for the day and updated us along the way. He was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great information during the tour. He was very considerate of the group and gave us little breaks as the hike isn’t easy. The views are stunning and it’s a great experience. Highly recommend:)

The volcano hiking was easy to moderate it could approximately take 1 hr 30 mins or 2 hrs depending on everyone's physical resistance. The views were incredible, once you're there you must try the popsicles there is different flavors 1usd to 1.50usd. Now, this is my experience of course everyone else that was in my group will opinionated completely different because unfortunately it only happened to me who had this bad experience with the tour guide and the her incredible negligence from her behalf, this is the first time that something like this ever happened to me. So first of, there is not a single information that indicates that they DO NOT pick up travelers in the Zona Centro as in the additional information it says I quoted "Hotels located in the area of San Salvador are included too!" I was staying in Zona Centro which from my understanding is still San Salvador area just as Zona rosa, so first bad impression was that I was told that they couldn't picking me up because I was located in the Zona Centro, why? I have no idea since Zona Rosa and Zona Centro are literally 15 MINS away from each other. I had to booked my own transportation to get to the Hilton hotel. If I knew that I was not gonna be picked up neither DROPPED OFF at my hotel I wouldn't have booked with this experience in the first place but because the information is unclear I had to paid to get to where they picked up the rest of the travelers. Secondly I was told by whoever contacted me through text that he told the tour guide Gabi that I was gonna be DROP OFF at my hotel. When I mentioned that information to her she acted surprised as if she didn't know and said "Sorry we don't drop off travelers in Zona Centro" why? She couldn't explained to me, but I mentioned to her that I was told by the perosn that waited for me at the Hilton, "he mentioned to me that I was gonna be dropped off at my hotel" and after that, she left me alone with the driver and I was dropped off at my hotel 3 hrs later from the rest of the group, a total negligence from her behalf leaving me alone with a stranger that if something happened to me if was gonna be Gabi's responsibility since she is the tour guide responsible for the travelers, not the driver, he is just transporting travelers by her requests. Third thing I paid for a Spanish tour and the tour was 30% in Spanish and 70% in English of course prioritizing the gringos, if it wasn't for a Spanish traveler she wouldn't have even bothered herself to explain everything in Spanish, although I speak English as well, the information needs to be translated exactly as you are explaining it in English, not explaining half of what you said in English into Spanish, absolutely unprofessional and unconsidered. This tour needs to immediately classified that if you guys don't pick up and drop off travelers in the Zona Centro then fix the information. Because if "The area of San Salvador" you mean just the bougie areas then indicate that. The fact that I was 15 mins away from where everyone else was dropped off but instead they drove all the way to El Tunco to dropped another traveler while I had to wait almost 3 hrs to get to my hotel is something absolutely insane and unforgettable. I wish I could've done this experience with a private tour guide instead but due to the lack of time, I only went to El Salvador for 3 and half days the tour guide and her negligence and lack of communication just ruined my experience in the country and had my family members extremely worried about me.

Thank you to Diego for creating such a great experience during this tour! He explained how the day was going to go and was super helpful to everyone throughout the day. He shared a lot of great knowledge about the hike and El Salvador in general. The hike will take it out of you but the views are stunning so I definitely recommend.
