What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think about traditional Finnish adventure? Northern lights hunting, Finnish sauna & Ice swimming, or traditional Lappish dinner in a cozy wooden cottage away from the city buzz? Correct! On this tour you will get all of the above and even a little more!
Let the heat purify your body as the mellow wintery magic of Lapland purifies your soul. Let go of the stress and enjoy the presence of your loved ones. While we do our best to prepare you for adventure in the wilderness, it's up to you decide how you want to spend your time. The classic Nordic way is to spend 10-15 minutes in the sauna and then jump into ice cold water, or even a big pile of crystal white snow! A cold plunge after a steamy session increases your blood flow, relieves pressure and boosts up your endorphin levels!

Winter, summer, midnight or evening, the joy of sauna bathing is a totally delightful event. Sauna bathing has become such a deeply ingrained Finnish tradition that not even the difficult circumstances have been able to interrupt or alter it. It is a part of Finnish culture, customs and social pattern, passed inevitably from one generation to the next. The sauna effect is created by making the body hot throughout, almost like simulation a fever. This high temperature, coupled with the tranquil view and the later breathing of the stimulation lake air creates the benevolent effect always associated with sauna. The greatest time to see the Northern Lights is between end of October and middle of March. You need fair skies, pitch black nights and some luck to see the dancing lights in the sky (evening departure ONLY). To make the entire experience extraordinary we will take you a traditional Finnish sauna on an Arctic lake. Let's make this an adventure of a lifetime!

This is like the Finns would do it themselves. If you wanna experience genuine Finnish sauna culture, then go! I have lived in Finland, and I was thrilled to show my spouse an authentic, wood-fired sauna and swim in the lake. The guide was excellent and the food was superb. Also, like Finns would do in their cottages. What's not to like??!! It's a good idea, as always, to bring a woolen beanie/hat for the sauna and neoprene shoes, if you have them. It makes the sauna and swimming experience more convenient. Enjoy!

We loved the evening and dinner. They gave us 2 hrs to enjoy the suana and ice dips. Dinner was delicious. Would have liked to know more about Finnish culture. But they allowed us to ask questions which was nice.

We had a great evening! We were very carefully explained the « procedure » for a traditional sauna and how to prepare for the ice bath. It was quite the experience! We were anxious at first but we were very happy to have done it. The meal afterwards was delicious, and we had a very nice chat with the owners. Unfortunately we didn’t see northern lights as the activity was quite low and there were a lot of clouds, but we knew this was only a matter of luck so it didn’t bother us. Highly recommend!

This activity was really a great experience :) A must to do in Rovaniemi. Mattia, our guide, was on time and he was really nice and attentive to our needs. He took the time to explain us Finnish people lifestyle as he leaves in Finland. The dinner was delicious the salmon was amazing and we also saw the northern lights which makes the experience even more exciting. The spa was amazing and it was really a funny experience. I would recommend it to everyone that goes on vacation in Rovaniemi

Alex arrived on time (early, no rush to board transport earlier than planned) , great interaction with guests keeping the conversation flowing with just the right amount of information. Swift pick-ups of other guests. Great explanation of the night, sauna, entering the water etc. Lucky to have great banter in Sauna with other guests, made night fun. Enjoyed the fresh dinner. Not lucky enough to see northern light, thoroughly enjoyed the event more than expected to.
