Valley of the Kings
Your day begins with a prompt pickup from your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor by your Egyptologist guide from Egypt Best Tours. Travel comfortably in an air-conditioned vehicle as you enjoy a scenic 35–40 minute drive toward Luxor’s West Bank. Your first stop is the legendary Valley of the Kings, where New Kingdom pharaohs carved their tombs deep into the mountains to safeguard their treasures and preserve their mummies for eternity. While guiding is not permitted inside the tombs, your expert guide will provide a full explanation before you enter. You’ll then explore three of the most fascinating open tombs, carefully selected to give you the best insight into this ancient burial site.
Temple of Medinat Habu
Continue to Medinet Habu, situated at the southern edge of the Theban Necropolis. This remarkable site is not only known for its impressive architecture but also for being the location of the first recorded labor strike in history, during the reign of Ramesses III. The temple itself, built in his honor, is one of the best-preserved in all of Egypt. Enclosed by towering mud-brick walls — which may have served as a form of fortification — this temple complex offers a powerful glimpse into ancient religious and political life.

Fantastic, highly recommend! To be able to get the best experience, this guided tour is highly recommended. Was able to see many sites which would been difficult on a self guided tour.

Everyone at Egypt Best Tours worked to make my trip amazing ! My guide Samar was outstanding from beginning to end. She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made ancient history come alive with clear and fascinating explanations. The day was well-paced, never rushed, and thoughtfully planned — including plenty of time for photos and breaks. The highlight was the Valley of the Kings, where Samar’s expert tips helped us make the most of the visit. With a friendly driver and smooth hotel pickup, everything ran perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Luxor!

We had a fantastic experience thanks to our guide, Yomna. From the start, her explanations were clear, insightful, and easy to understand, making the historical sites even more fascinating. It was obvious she had a deep understanding of the places we visited and a genuine passion for sharing that knowledge. What made the tour even better was Yomna’s fluency in Spanish, which helped us feel completely comfortable and made the experience much more personal and accessible. She was not only informative but also incredibly warm, punctual, and attentive to anything we needed throughout the day. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the tour and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Yomna to anyone looking for a truly professional and engaging guide.

Azza was an outstanding , her extensive knowledge of Egyptology was impressive, but what stood out even more was her ability to read the group. She knew exactly when to provide detailed insights and when to let us explore on our own and take in the surroundings. With so much rich history to absorb, azza made everything feel clear, engaging, and easy to connect with. She was always available to answer our questions and offered thoughtful explanations throughout. The iconic sites were everything we hoped for, but the visit to Deir el-Medina, the ancient workers’ village, was an unexpected gem absolutely fascinating and full of character. We were also very well taken care of by Hazem , our driver, who not only made the travel between stops smooth but also helped us pick up a few essentials at a local shop, which we really appreciated. This tour was seamless, enriching, and truly memorable. Highly recommend it. Mashallah!

We had the absolute best time in Luxor, and it was all thanks to our amazing guide, Ahmed From the start, he brought the perfect mix of knowledge, humor, and great energy seriously, it felt like he had a PhD in ancient Egypt and stand up comedy. He made the history come alive and had us laughing the whole day. Huge bonus: he also doubled as an expert photographer, capturing the most Instagram-worthy shots for us throughout the tour. We appreciated the effort and attention to detail it really made the experience feel personal and memorable. Ahmed also made a smart change to the usual tour route, starting with Karnak Temple instead of later in the day. Genius move! We got there before the crowds and the worst of the heat, which made a huge difference. If you’re headed to Luxor and want a tour that’s fun, engaging, and anything but boring, Ahmed is the guide you need. Thank you Egypt Best Tours for pairing us with someone so unforgettable!

I had an amazing experience on this tour! My train from Cairo arrived late, so I was pressed for time before catching my boat, but my guide mostafa and driver mohamed were absolutely fantastic. They made sure I saw all the key sites I wanted to visit, despite the tight schedule, and were great company throughout. I highly recommend this tour!

I visited all the key locations, starting with the Valley of the Kings. My guide, Esteer, was incredibly knowledgeable and provided clear explanations, pointing out important details to look for at each site. The highlight of the tour was without a doubt Seti I’s tomb (which required a separate ticket). It was remarkably well preserved and absolutely breathtaking.
