You will spend an unforgettable day in breathtaking mountain scenery, with a dedicated and knowledgable guide, who will tailor the itinerary to all your wishes and needs. Access to 'secret' spots of an area with no mass tourism, but with centuries old traditions and way of life and where we will mainly encounter locals and swiss tourists. I will be able to answer all your questions about local customs and ancient way of half nomadic agriculture, but also about life in Switzerland, History, Geography and modern issues like effects of climate change and the impressive infrastructure of the alpine crossings - the amount of walking can be totally fine tuned in terms of length and steepness. I can find something short or long for anyone. (in case you have a rental car I can also drive you places normally not accessible) ***** In short: a well travelled local guide will take you places where the locals go and I hope I will pass my love for the Alps on to you, my guests

What To Expect

I will adapt this experience based on customers interests and activity requirements. There will always be at least one aerial gondola ride or postal bus ride to a remote location, where unique landscapes and centuries old traditions can be found. Breathtaking views and a variety of landscapes beckon in every direction. I will listen to my guests and will deliver on what it is they would like to experience on that day. Hiking can be short and easy or more advanced. I have the luxury of a vast hiking network and 36 different gondolas to choose from, so that the level of exercise can totally be adapted. Each one of those gondolas is different and they are an attraction in themselves. You will be able to take lots spectacular photos and selfies ***** It is my ultimate goal to provide my guests with an unforgettable day in the Swiss Alps and will also be a valuable resource in the further travel planning through Switzerland.

Joe is amazing!!! I found him through Airbnb experience , where he has so many positive reviews. My tour was beyond anything I could have imagined. It started in a Brunnen, (I thought i Lucerne was beautiful, but this was gorgeous plus plus!), and then we took a boat across the lake, followed by a funicular , another hike and another boat , a gondola, and more hiking. This was the Switzerland I never would have seen and it was magical . We walked over 13 miles , but he’ll adjust his tour based on your fitness level. He is the sweetest, and so full of information, and clearly loves his country. If you’re considering, just book - it is the best thing you will do in Switzerland

Epic. This was the by far the best travel tours I have done. Joe was extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful. The positives started in the days prior to the experience. The original scheduled day was very cold and rainy and Joe suggested we reschedule to a sunny day. Also I had mentioned I didn’t have a big coat and he brought me one to wear on the day of the experience. We started by taking a boat ride on a quiet part of the lake, the surroundings were stunning. Next a gondola ride, followed by a beautiful trail weaving through a forest on a mountain. Joe was always asking what I was interested in doing which led to a truly unique experience of going in a tiny gondola up the side is giant 600 meter cliff face. Looking down is something I will not forget!! Highly recommend!
