From the cigar lady who has rolled cigars by hand over 20 years, to the art collective with local art, food, and entertainment, to the packed markets full of trinkets and street food. Don't forget an authentic local made indigo garment. Then, the fun continues with a great tour of the only local rum distillery. A real favorite for the village of Suchitoto in El Salvador! A peaceful atmosphere, colorful alleys, a beautiful energy and a colonial charm that invites strolling. I loved getting lost, talking to the locals and enjoying the view of Lake Suchitlán. Special mention for visiting Cihuatán rum factory, an authentic and exciting experience: clear explanations of the manufacturing process, refined tasting and a beautiful enhancement of Salvadoran know-how. A must-see stop for rum lovers and beautiful local discoveries!

We had the opportunity of a wonderful Trip to El Salvador in April 2025 and for this we contacted the services of Expedition Maya and from the beginning of the booking the team of Expedition Maya was wonderful, then we arrived at the airport where they were waiting for us for those incredible adventures to the parks of the beautiful Salvador, they took us with great enthusiasm everywhere and so we want to recommend that all those who visit El Salvador have the same opportunity to learn, to walk safely enjoy those holidays that they waited so long! We give 5 stars out of 5 to Mauricio and Lisa for so valued support on our trip and for so much help! Now, it'll be worth every penny invested with them!
