The journey on the second day is relatively short because we want you to enjoy the most majestic route of the whole journey - the Ma Pi Leng scenic spot. You may even gain a new perspective from this lookout. Looking at the road of Happiness, winding along the rocky slopes, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how well-built the roads are. In the evening, we’ll return to Mong village, sit by the fire, chat, bake potatoes and cassava, and enjoy the peaceful life here.

Many wonder what Du Gia village offers. The road from Meo Vac to Du Gia is so beautiful and untouched that many places remain unnamed. We’ll travel through the most breathtaking, remote areas. We recommend visiting Du Gia to everyone because it offers a peaceful respite from busy schedules and lives. We hope that being immersed in the rocky mountain landscape will help you forget about normal day-to-day stresses, at least for a few moments. Staying in the Tay people’s village provides a tranquil experience. Here there is no traffic, only the sound of birds singing. Spend your days observing the local white-bellied stream flock sparkling under the warm sunlight and leisurely swimming through the water.

If you are travelling to Vietnam, put this on the top of your bucket list. The scenery is mind blowing and being able to experience the culture of the people was so special. Our teenagers loved it just as much as my husband and I.

Might have to split the review in to two sections here. I'll start with the positives: - The Ha Giang Loop is an incredible experience and something you absolutely should do when visiting Vietnam. 10/10 would highly recommend the experience itself. - The company we ended up going with, Jasmine Tours, was amazing. Super helpful in trying to help us out with the difficult situation this specific Viator booking put us in (more on that in a bit) - Take lots of photos, enjoy the moments, makes lots of friends. It really is a surreal moment you get to share. I was lucky to take this trip with two of my best friends. Now the cons: - This specific Viator experience is an absolute disaster. This whole post is very misleading. The reviews, including mine, mention the use of the Jasmine Tours. As you can probably see, there are no real selections or options to customize your tour. You pick the date, number of people, and the time you want to depart after selecting 3D or 4D tour. That would be alright, but just note, this is the absolute base price and is NOT with Jasmine Tours or Mama's. It is with some other tour company that we absolutely did not want to go with. It cost us so so so much more per person to "upgrade" to Jasmine Tours. People from Hanoi were going on the Jasmine Tour Ha Giang loop for so so much cheaper. I understand there is a premium to pay when booking through Viator, but this was honestly just so so disappointing. We paid as much in extra fees to just get Jasmine Tour as it would have cost to just book with Jasmine Tours directly or through any tour agency in Hanoi! - Speaking of customizations, you can't adjust anything after you've made your booking with this company. This booking that you're about to make is the absolute BASE version. As mentioned previously, you don't get Jasmine or Mama's (which is fine for some), but you also don't get to pick anything else. Private room? Can't select it, pay a much bigger price in person. Easy rider? Pay much more in person. VIP bus instead of the regular recliner bus? Again, pay much more in person. When we (3 people, including myself) showed up to Jasmine Hostel, they asked us to basically pay for everything. We were listed as self-riders (which is kind of insane because we didn't ask for that), we paid a premium for private rooms (understandable, but again, the price quoted was insane), we paid full price for the VIP bus and not any sort of difference in fares (because we were put on to a regular bus). It was all just so so so poorly organized. The poor staff at Jasmine Tours couldn't do much because we booked through this company and not through them directly. They had to pay these guys a premium, according to the staff, which made EVERYTHING that we upgraded/paid for a lot more expensive. - There is very little communication when it matters. Our trip was leaving in a day and there was no confirmation about what we were doing, who we were meeting, what the plan was, which company we're with. For $199 per person (which is the BASE PRICE and significantly more than anyone else paid), we expected a far smoother process. When we've travelled and booked through Viator before, we expect the companies to have a smooth check in process, a smooth contacting process, a professional outlook to any questions or concerns we may have. Overall, the experience is a 10/10 and a 5 Star experience. This specific company/posting, however, I cannot express how poor our experience was and how they should be avoided. I am sure the company will write a response regarding my experience, and will tell us "we should've known that extras cost extra" or something to that effect, but I have kept every single receipt and WhatsApp conversation screenshot about how much extra we had to pay, and how misleading everything was in this post of theirs. With no option to customize and no clarity on which company we're gonna be with until we're on the bus, it was all very disruptive and confusing.
