This flexible private day tour from Guangzhou will let you explore Foshan area(hometown of Bruce Lee), immerse in the beautiful landscape in the countryside and escape the bustle city.
Big Buddha Mountain is entitled one of the "National Top Level Scenery" and has gained reputation from home and abroad for its primitive forest, natural waterfalls, sky lake(formed from ancient volcano crater), ancient villages as well as the big Buddha temple.
As per your interest, you can also visit one or two more sties nearby to compose a full day trip:
1) Watch Kung-Fu & traditional Chinese lion dance at Martial Art Museum.
2) Take a ferry to Pingsha island and cycle around to observe local village/farmland/orchard.
3) National Arts Studio, royal palace replica and ancient street with traditional architecture for films/television making.
4) Visit mulberry fish pond farm area to learn about recyclable mutual beneficial ecological system.
5) Guangdong Romance Park for Cantonese local culture.

What To Expect
Foshan
Your English-speaking tour guide and the private car with driver will come and pick you up at your hotel in Guangzhou, then drive for 1.5 hours to reach Foshan, which is a second tier city in China and it's famous as hometown of traditional Chinese martial art, for Kung-Fu master predecessor like Wong Fei-hung, Ip-man and Bruce Lee.
Xiqiao Mountain National Forest Park
Upon arrival in Foshan, you will go visit the famous Big Buddha Mountain, it's a top level national 5A scenery with beautiful and tranquil landscape, a natural wonderland formed from an ancient volcanic crater on the mountain. You can take the scenic shuttle car to go up the mountain, have a panoramic overlook view to the local area on the observation deck platform, go in to explore the 500 years old Ming Dynasty buddhism temple with various religious architectures, hallways and buddhas, and finally climb many steps(optional) to reach the top of the mountain-the 61.8m tall big Guanyin Buddha bronze statue and marvel at fascinating scenery around. You can have lunch for yummy vegetarian food at a local vegetarian restaurant in the temple, optional and could be skipped based on your needs and interest.

5.00The day trip with Damien as our friendly guide was a very enjoyable one. The highlight for me was the Guangdong Eternal Love show which has an underlying touching moment which I am sure my great grandparents can relate to deeply.

5.00We only have a day at Foshan. But Damon managed to arrange for us places and activities which are magnificently exciting and eye opening. The most impressive was the once in a lifetime must-see performance at Guangdong Romance Park. Love the park! Thank you Damon. It was a worth it!

5.00It is worth the full day trip to see historical scenic views. We saw live kung fu show, lion and dragon dances. Romance Park is a must see, the ‘chinese’ Hollywood studio. The broadway like stage performance was fascinating. what a beautiful memory to bring home on history of China.

Even in the car ride, he kept his conversation and explanations super engaging. The itinerary takes you to some beautiful picture taking areas and showcases some unique culture. In my time in China, this tour has been the main highlight. Would definitely recommend!

5.00This is our first trip to Guangzhou and Foshan. While we are familiar with China, we wanted to have a more in depth understanding of the history and culture of the places that we are visiting. My husband is an avid fan of Chinese martial arts and multiple masters. I wanted a tour that can be customised and for us to visit all the places in one shot. This is the best tour itinerary that I have found. Zack was supportive to our needs and very amendable to customising the itinerary so that it will fulfill our objectives. We manage to avoid the holiday crowds with his timing recommendation. Covered Xiqiao mountain, with a fantastic martial arts and lion dance show, had a great vegetarian lunch at the mountains, went to Wong Fei hong memorial to see his history, visited Bruce lee paradise and his ancestral home. With the private tour, Zack has also kindly dropped us off at a destination in Guangzhou that we wanted. He also gave us recommendations on places to visit and shop in Guangzhou, which are not found in searching in Google. Highly recommend this tour and our tour guide. If you are looking to tour around Guangzhou and its surrounding cities like Foshan, Kaiping, Qingyuan.. or wanted to see something off the beaten route and customised in Guangzhou.. look for Zack.

5.00Very comfortable well-organised tour to Foshan with cable car ride up Xijiao mountain, lion dance with martial arts display, crazy electric car ride, fun jungle obstacle course for the kids and amazing view of the enormous Guan Yin goddess statue at the peak. Also visited Wang Fei Hong’s museum. Thanks Damon, we had fun! No stress with Damon as our guide!
