What To Expect
Duration:1 hour 40 minutes
Operating Schedule:The Hop-on, Hop-off tour runs daily from 9 AM to 7 PM, with buses every 15 minutes and a full loop lasting approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes. Present your e-voucher to Big Bus staff at any stop before boarding, or redeem it at the Big Bus Shop & Info Centre (Via delle Terme di Diocleziano 34), near Stop #1.

3.00We took a first tour with Big Bus to spot the different sites to visit, which was very nice and convenient. However, on the second lap, where we wanted to get off at certain stops, we found that on the first pass, the driver had not passed through the Coliseum. This is regrettable because we saw everything in our first turn ....

3.00The ho on hop off seemed to work ok and I have no complaints. However, other than the beefiest time the headphones didn’t work at all, would only work intermittently in one language (Italian), would only work plugged and therefore shared with neighbouring plugs, behind, beside or in front. Secondly, we could not collect our “free” Gelatist icecream and the vendor apologised and explained that we were not the first Big Bus customers who he had been obliged to refuse their ice creams. We had made a strenuous effort to reach this particular Gelatist only to be told that our ticket did not qualify in spite of the promises Big Bus had given us when paying extra for their special tickets.

5.00It was a great experience. We saw a few Roman sites from the bus, which was helpful. The talkie talkie guide was good too explaining about the Roman sites. The bus stops were well placed but there could have been one between no. 6 & the piazza de poopoo.

1.00Bought these tickets so we could maneuver Rome a little better. Our friends took the Big Bus tour in London and loved it. Our experience was terrible. Multiple stops closed. Long walks to get to the next. Busses not running as advertised. I am not a harsh critic and rarely leave negative reviews. This was one of the worst tourist experiences I’ve ever had. In my opinion, a complete waste of money. We literally got in once. Take the metro. Take a reputable taxi. And honestly, you can walk faster and further. I would not recommend Big Bus here.
