After reading All the negative reviews, I was hesitant to book with Big Bus. However, I had no issues. If you want to guarantee a seat, go to the first stop. Grab the head phones and map at the front of the bus. The bus will drop off pretty close to the monument but for obvious reasons they are unable to drop off curbside at the Vatican, Coliseum etc. On NYE there was a marathon from 12-6p, but that did not cause any Traffic or delays with big bus routes. If you are unsure where to pick up the big bus, there are plenty of tour bus operators from various companies who are friendly and will show you where to go. Happy touring!
