website said 9am, got there, sign board said 9.49 and bus arrived at 10.10. Delayed and plus other operators were cheaper and had more frequent buses

This is a waste of money. The bus doesn’t take you past any sights; it merely passes within the neighbourhood, requiring you to disembark and walk to even get a glimpse of the site. One of the eight stops is a train station where the bus inexplicably stopped for 30 minutes. If you’re able-bodied, walking between some of the sites offers a better experience of Rome and helps you burn off calories from the delicious food.

Not worth at all!! Don’t waste your time and money!! The driver does not point out sights or monuments or talk at all!!! And we did not find out until the end that there are headphones!!! Plus finding the bus was a zoo as we were redirected 5 times!! A total waste! And initially they offered a refund but then changed their minds. Which is odd considering they can see we have booked 5 more tours!!!!!!!

Good to do as the start of your holiday here. Gives you an overview of the places you can visit besides the main attractions the bus goes to.

System quoted the trip at €27 pp ( normally €35pp) and then proceeded to charge us €35 anyway. Our stop ( Colosseum) turned out to be closed so walked on to the next one . We travelled one stop and hopped off. Horrendous amount of people in Rome to see the pope made getting anywhere physically difficult and the poor directions on the website to find the bus stops , is awful. It tells you which land mark is closest, but very hard to make sense of which direction you need to travel in to return to the stop. The last bus leaves at 6 and the route is quoted as being 103 minutes, so when we got on stop 8, 635, we expected to travel several stops closer to our hotel. Nope, travelled one stop and kicked us off ( route ended at stop 1 ) and we had to pay for a taxi to actually get back to the hotel. Poor information, staff not especially friendly, don’t speak English ( they don’t have to but would certainly be helpful) . So yes, if you are willing to pay €70 to take you about a mile in total, this is for you. The stops are far too spaced out for you to benefit from this service

Took a while for check in. Hard to find the stops to begin with. Once you took the bus it became easier. Most bus stops are a walk from the things to see.

Very informative... The audio works well and covers the history very well. We think most of the stops are too far from the sights everyone wants to see.

Great way to move around Rome and see the Main sites. The buses were on time and we didn’t have any issues finding the stops.

I like the Big Bus experience when I go to a new city. I think it provides an overview of the city to not only do hop-on/off, but to return other days to interesting places that you have liked. The Big Bus route, which I understand is different from other similar companies, is correct, your route goes where buses are allowed to pass, Fontana di Trevio or Piazza di Spagna are not included. Also this type of buses serves to rest a little if you have walked a lot. Finally mention the good attention of the boy who managed the stop of the Colosseum: we were the first to arrive but the people who arrived then located in a disorderly way. When a couple wanted to get on the bus before us, this guy stopped them, told them we were before and let us on first. Bravo for the management!

Good for what we used it for--easy transportation around the major city sights. The stops are a decent walk away from the actual attractions. They also close stops but don't tell you. We were waiting at a stop and had a bus drive right by us. We found out later that it was because that stop was closed. They have an app, but other than bus tracking, it doesn't really tell you much--being able to update open/closed stops would be helpful.
