The itinerary we booked & paid for $90 per person was not the tour we were taken. The 1st (St. John Church) & 2nd (Ft. James) stops about 10 mins each thought were additions. After the 3rd stop (Devils Bridge) we were told the next (Beach) would be the last and that’s when we said there’s more to see. The itinerary includes Nelson’s Dockyard, Shirley’s Heights, Blackhouse Ruins, Fig Tree Drive and Darkwood Beach. The manager who called us a night before to confirm our cruise arrival time and the same person who met us at the meeting place was very dishonest couldn’t tell us straight forward what caused the messed. He told us different reasons why our tour is different from what we booked which completely doesn’t make sense. First, he said the tour he took us is very than the itinerary we booked which we immediately said no because there’s more to see and the duration is 5 hours not 3 hours. His second reason was the people in the tour doesn’t not want to pay the $15 to $20 entrance fee at Nelson’s Dockyard which we disagree because the itinerary shows free admission to the said place. Third, he said the original tour left early which again is not true because we were at the meeting place at 7:30am half hour before the start time. The manager also told us when he came to see us before we started the tour that he wants to give us a heads up that we are the only Americans on the tour that all others are from the UK. There’s absolutely no need to tell us because it doesn’t matter. When we brought up our complaint the manager did not immediately offer anything. He was only telling multiple untruthful reasons and because we are not buying it that was the only time he said will give us half refund. When the driver & tour guide talked to him, he came to us said he felt bad and he will pay for our meal. We said he doesn’t have to we only want him to take responsibility for his actions and be truthful. At the end of the meal he was not there. We also told him we do not mind paying the entrance fee. The tour is not about the fee it is about what we are looking for to see. After the tour, we received a text message from that manager apologizing and that he will give us full refund. It has been 5 business days now and we do not see the refund. In the van, there were 4 guides. The main tour guide who is very professional and knowledgeable. The driver who is very nice and drives safely. There are 2 other back up ladies. The ladies are nice but not necessarily needed. The main tour guide and driver are more than enough. This is being shared to help not only the tourists but most importantly the tour company, Biggvee to provide professional and acceptable services in the future.

Our tour guide was Vincent and he was so wonderful! We had an incredible day exploring this beautiful island. Vincent was incredibly knowledgeable and he even found some fresh tropical fruit for us to purchase and eat on the beach. We all had such a wonderful day and we’d definitely recommend Vincent to anyone!

Our guide ELMO was very attentive, funny and entertaining and gave us an amazing private tour of the island..with lots of interesting facts on history of Antigua, current facts..while taking good care of us and taking lots of funny pictures :). It was definitely one of the best tours we ve had so far, Elmo also stopped several times to get us some traditional things to try from the island such as coconut water or an island special ananas-ginger drink. From our side a big thank you for allowing us to get to know the island with u during our short stay!!! D&D

I booked thinking it would be a group tour and it was only me, I felt like a VIP! The driver / guide, known on the island as 'The Crabman' was really good, taking me to the places that I wanted to visit (the Cricket stadium) and telling me lots about life on Antigua. After crossing the island through villages and the 'bush', I spent some at Shirley Heights and Nelson's Dockyard and then we went along the Fig Tree Drive route. The forests are a real contrast to the island's beaches. We then stopped for a break on Darkwood Beach, an absolute delight. Think of the picture postcard image of white sand and turquoise sea and you are thinking of this beach. There was a local place to eat if you wanted to but soaking up the sun and bathing in the sea was just wonderful. We then went through the capital, St Johns, and the tour was over. It was a great way to see the island, get an insight into island life and work out where you might want to return to.
