What To Expect
Discover Arrowtown and the Valley of the Vines on a guided bike and wine adventure. Begin with a 20-minute shuttle from Queenstown to Arrowtown, where your guide shares gold-rush history and provides a bike and safety orientation. Cycle along rivers, bridges, and alpine scenery toward the Gibbston wine region. Stop at cellar doors such as Gibbston Valley (Wine Cave tour with 3 tastings), Rockburn, Kinross (platters available), and Mount Rosa (wine by the fire). Tastings and food are additional, and bookings are recommended in peak season. Ride a 2024 Trek Marlin 6 or upgrade to a premium e-bike (recommended for most riders, 150cm min.). Conclude with a 4:00 pm pick-up from the wineries, returning to Queenstown by 5:00 pm. This 7-hour tour combines Arrowtown’s heritage, stunning cycling trails, and world-class wines in one unforgettable day.

5.00The Valley of the Vines e bike wine tour is by far the best thing you can do in Queenstown, nothing else even comes close for the price. The ride is incredibly scenic and easy, and the e bikes make the whole experience relaxed and fun. Cruising along rivers, across bridges and through vineyards at your own pace is the perfect way to spend the day. The wineries along the way are excellent, the freedom to stop whenever you like is unbeatable, and it is incredible value for money. I take everyone who comes to stay with me on this tour, and it is always the highlight of their trip. I would recommend it to absolutely anyone visiting Queenstown.

5.00This is the third time I’ve being to queenstown and I’ve done this bike tour with Going Blue every single time! It a great way to see the views Queenstown has to offer while also visiting the vineyards! I recommend this tour to everybody visiting , always such a core memory of my trip! The guys picking us up and giving the bikes to us have always being so friendly and more than helpful !! It’s a must !!

5.00Just got back from a full day of e-bike riding and wine tasting! What a combination! Jay and his colleagues looked after us so well from picking us up to dropping us off. The bikes were top quality and glided over the paths. They were really powerful, just what we needed along the way The ride to the vineyard area was spectacular. So lucky with the weather. Never to be forgotten. Highly recommend Thanks guys 👍

5.00Start to finish FATASTIC. From our initial booking online all those months ago in the UK to our final pick up at Mnt Rosa vineyard this has been one of the highlights of our trip. I’d defo recommend the e-bikes, it’s a long way! Jack our driver was friendly and knowledgable, reliable and knew his stuff. We booked the wine tasting at Mnt Rosa and that was definitely worth doing. It gave us something to look forward to at the end of the day and the location is stunning. We paid to be picked up at our air bnb and pick up was prompt and easy. All in all a spectacular day that we both thoroughly enjoyed.

5.00Great day of biking, and enjoying some lovely wines! The pizza at Kinross was terrific! We enjoyed being able to go at our own pace and take in the incredible views. Definitely do the e-bike!

5.00The Going Blue team were great at helping us to get the right type of ebikes to use and recommend the right trail based on how experienced our riders were. We got brand new ebikes which fit us well. This tour was very scenic and a nice ride through the country and over several bridges. It ended by passing by several wineries which is a good way to end the ride. The team was very flexible on the day. I had chose a day and we had to change it at the last minute due to weather complications. The team was very accomodating. Finally, they make it easy by picking you up at your hotel or in town somewhere then returning you there at the end of the day. This was one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand.

5.00Great tour. The guys running the tour were super helpful and provided a map as well as contact info in case of need or for pickup en route. Bike paths were well marked and mostly easy. A few uphill stretches managed easily with the e-bike. Time allotted was fine and plenty for a relaxing ride. Remember to reserve if wanting to do tastings at Peregrine or Chard (and check others en route). Going Blue will reserve for you too. All in all an activity well worth doing. Arrowtown looked really interesting too. The Gibbston tavern has good food and a selection of wines, gins, ginger beer (alcoholic) and beer enjoyed by me.
