Excellent tour to experience the bio bay out on. They guide you through beautiful mangroves and then out onto the lagoon. Highly recommend bug spray!!!

Great tour guides. Amazing experience. I recommend the last excursion for maximum darkness. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Kayaking was so much fun

Great experience! We went during the new moon so that it would be extra dark, and it was! The water sorta seems like it is sparkling, very cool. Even just the kayaking at night was fun. You don’t really need anything special for this, they will hold your bags and car keys.

You will get wet, it might rain, and if you have no experience kayaking, be honest with the tour guides so they can place tou in a good spot in the line going to the bay.

Super fun and cool experience! Kayaking was a bit challenging against the current, but overall not too difficult. Don't expect crazy glow, but it is definitely visible. Prepare to get wet from the waist down, definitely recommend having a change of clothes.

The kayaking is really fun! We got to see the micro organisms and we got to hold jellyfish! All the coaches were incredible and funny people!

The Bio Bay kayaking is probably the worst excursion I have ever spent money on. There are 10+ companies running the same tour at the same time - it's a crowded mess. The kayaking is boring. The luminescence is underwhelming, and only visible under a tarp if the moon is out. The guides straight up lie to you, or treat you like children. Unless you've had a lobotomy or have literally never been outside in your life, you won't enjoy this.

Lovely to be out at night in the mangroves and ocean. Neat to see the bioluminescence. Leaders seemed well trained and safety conscious.

Was beautiful out at bay. Hard to believe was a living thing creating the illumination. Wife and I had a good time.

Overall it was a fun experience and very neat to see the bioluminescence. We booked on a night closer to a new moon so it’d be darker to see better. My husband couldn’t go as there’s a strictly enforced 250# limit. Be aware if you’re in an odd numbered group, you’ll be paired up with a stranger. I’m an experienced kayaker and my partner wasn’t, so it was a little bummer. I was with my kids so I kindly asked her if I can keep an eye on my minor children and for the most part I could. There were boats going through the mangroves with lights so that greatly diminished the ability to see the bioluminescence. I’d have appreciated a bit more leisurely tour thru the very dark mangroves as it’s hard to see in pitch darkness and our kayak didn’t have a glow stick attached to make sure you didn’t crash into the person ahead of you. It felt rushed at times making sure we all paddled single file as other groups were going the other way. I understand they want to maximize getting customers into this experience, but that and the large crowds detracts from the experience. It was still fun, but there could be improvements for me to give it 5 stars. Staff were nice and worked hard to make sure everyone stayed in line. Advertised this tour was 2 hrs but ours was a little less than 1.5hrs. Nice touch a snack and water at the end. I’d have loved an outdoor shower before the long trek back to our condo, but it’d prob just be more chaos. It’s not like avatar but more light up when you agitate the water. It’s still neat to do and only one of a few in the world that have this phenomenon.
