Your guide will have everything set up and ready for you to embark when you arrive on site! Our launch location boasts open views of the Space Center’s vehicle assembly building, rocket launch pads, and the Milky Way in the night sky. On a clear night we often see shooting stars, starlink satellites and even the ISS over our heads. In the water, a microscopic algae is responsible for bioluminescence below you. Paddle with a certified Florida naturalist who truly cares about the ecosystem and learn from the microscopic bottom of the food web to the top about ecology in the lagoon. On some summer nights, there’s a possibility to learn about water sampling to quantify the dinoflagellates in the water as Sunny Nights Kayak Tours is aiding in a scientist’s cumulative studies on the pyrodinium bloom in our lagoon!

We booked a tour with Sunny Nights Kayak Tours while visiting Florida for our honeymoon (from Maryland). We really enjoyed the tour and Sunny was an amazing guide! We got to venture on shore to one of the islands and discovered some prickly pears, as well as observe the wildlife, such as a heron and lots of mullet! With this time of year, the algae had subsided, but we got to catch (and eventually release) lots of bioluminescent jelly fish! It was a great adventure and we would highly recommend!

I had an amazing time out with Sunny! An experience everyone should try at LEAST once in their lives but I recommend more! Sunny was very down to earth, kind and easy to converse with! She was very knowledgeable and shared a wealth of knowledge while on tour. Safety comes first and foremost with her and she makes you feel very safe out in the open water at night. It was my first time ever kayaking specifically at night but I felt quickly at ease. We had perfect weather for our trip! We “caught” two shooting stars, found some cool seashells from a nearby island, and were able to help the ecosystem by spotting and snagging a cast iron skillet from the shore in shallow water, and a 2 liter full Coca-Cola bottle floating in the water. My favorite part is was getting to catch, hold (and release) the jelly’s that light up when you touch them! Sunny let me try my hand at catching a few with the net! Which a cool feeling when your net finds one and it lights up with the little jellies inside! I for sure would recommend her tours and can’t wait to come back and do another one! Thank you Sunny! Until next time!

My wife and I booked a tour for our 2 year anniversary and it did not disappoint! We kayaked to a little island where we got to see the rocket launch! We were also able to catch some Comb Jellies! The stars were incredible…Sunny was so great and really made our night fantastic! If you’re looking for something different to do or you want to try kayaking but don’t know where to start, Sunny is the perfect guide!

Sunny is wonderful! She is incredibly knowledgable about local ecology, the environment, & leads with everyone's safety in mind regarding weather. On our 90ish minute tour, we saw tons of critters like mullet (fish), great heron, & more! We even got to hold bioluminescent jellyfish & watch them glow. Closest thing to real magic I've ever experienced. 10/10 would recommend for families, couples, & solo paddlers wanting to spend an evening connecting with nature.

Sonny is an awesome guide - super chill, super knowledgeable, flexible. Can’t say enough positive things about things. Small tour group size makes for GREAT experience. The group stays close together & the guide can really interact with everyone. Only book with Sonny Nights Kayak Tour.

Amazing experience! Very professional and courteous staff. I learned so much about the river and the living creatures that are in it. The water was beautiful. Thankful I was able to participate in such a memorable event. I highly recommend this company for anyone interested in getting out there to kayak and explore this beauty.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Magical Night on the Water – A Must-Do Adventure! We booked a night kayaking tour out of Scottsmoor Landing in the Mosquito Lagoon, and it was hands down one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had in Florida. From the start, our guide Sunny made the trip unforgettable. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and made everyone feel comfortable and engaged. Her love for the ecosystem really showed and added so much value to the experience. The bioluminescence was absolutely breathtaking. Every movement in the water created a glowing ripple, like paddling through stars. On top of that, we spotted dolphins, manatees, horseshoe crabs, and other wildlife. We even collected some gorgeous shells along the way. The atmosphere was peaceful and surreal, and we left feeling recharged and inspired. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this. It’s perfect for couples, families, or solo adventurers looking for something truly special. Highly recommend!
