Antigua Mountain Trail - Finca El Pilar

Morning: Begin your adventure with a birdwatching session, spotting vibrant species like the Northern Emerald-Toucanet, Collared Trogon, and Rufous Sabrewing. Explore the lower trails where birds often gather among the forest’s diverse flora. Afternoon: Continue with a hike through Finca El Pilar’s beautiful landscapes, gradually ascending through lush pine-oak forests. The trails vary in difficulty, but the higher you go, the more rewarding the panoramic views of the surrounding volcanoes become. The hike provides excellent opportunities to spot rare species such as the Blue-throated Motmot and Singing Quail. Evening: Take in the peaceful ambiance at the summit, where you can enjoy stunning sunset views of the volcanoes and surrounding valleys.
