Let’s schedule a tour in Danville for 4 couples and 2 college students… absolutely said Erin of Bites of Bluegrass. Plus we were joined by a lovely couple from Versailles. Danville was a new adventure for our group so we wanted to a guide that would tell us the history with style and treat us to an abundance of tastings. Erin did not disappoint! We were very impressed with the food, walking tour, and stories. We have also been on the Lexington tour and loved it too! With our ages from 21 to 56 - Erin is a wonderful conversationalist. Please check out Bites of Bluegrass when you travel to Lexington. Erin will go the extra mile. We will be back to try more bites in bluegrass! And we will go back to Danville.

It was a brisk day and a casual walk. Treated to spicy stories and flavorful food. Satiates your taste for history while tantalizing your hunger for food. It was a good sample of coffee, food, drinks, and dessert. Good portion sizes, great flavor, enjoyable company, and a delightful walk through historic Danville. Thanks, Erin and crew!

This isn’t the typical history walk. If you want “the REST of the story”… and not a homogenized version of history then take this tour. The tour is fascinating even for someone like me who has lived in Lexington since the 80s. And the food was fantastic.

This is a great way to spend the afternoon! The places we visited were so welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented! Erin has chosen facts about Danville that are not only entertaining but historically interesting!! A must for locals as well as any out of town guest! Don’t want to go to Danville, she also does tours in Lexington! Both places are quite the treat!!

You will have SO much fun on this tour. The food alone is fantastic and worth going for, but Erin also has great stories about Danville that she tells along the way, many you probably haven't heard before even if you are from Danville. I won't give away too many details, but do know that this is a fantastic way to spend three hours (and you won't be hungry for supper when the tour ends!).

I live in Lexington but have business in Danville and have gotten to know and love the small town charm, so I was excited to get a chance to learn more about the area’s history and taste some different options. This tour definitely didn’t disappoint! Erin is an engaging storyteller with a wealth of knowledge and a knack for bringing the vibrant culture of this heartland gem to life. The food stops were thoughtful, and really represented the diversity that many people are surprised to find here,. Each bite was worthy of savoring, and there was something for everybody at each stop. I can’t wait to return to all of these locations individually to really see what they can do. The experience as a whole is a great option for showing off the bluegrass to out of town visitors, but is equally as enjoyable for locals who likely haven’t seen the area from this perspective. I can’t wait to try the Lexington tours too, I will definitely be a repeat customer.
