As culture-bearers for the city of New Orleans, all of our guides are actively involved in participating and/or performing in various productions and venues that showcase our artistic preservation of Louisiana BBIPOC heritage. We have a unique perspective that goes deeper than what can be found in books (though we’re thorough researchers as well), and we look forward to sharing the rich and blended cultures that make up New Orleans.

LaToya is an amazing story teller and keeper of Treme history. Love and exuberance for the neighborhood shows through. What a great way to round out the history of New Orleans. Do yourself a favor, visit an amazing neighborhood that IS New Orleans. Eat at Li’l Dizzy’s Cafe and visit Backstreet Cultural Museum for Mardi Gras history and costumes on display. All amazing, all worth the time.

This tour was amazing!! Our tour guide actually designed the tour and at this point is the only one who gives this tour, so she was just a wealth of information and passion and humor and compassion. I love this so much more than I even expected and it had already been a highlight expectation of my trip to New Orleans. Highly recommend for anyone who loves history and learning about culture!

Latoya was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. She made the history come alive! The tour didn’t involve as much walking as we thought—which was good for my 82-year-old mom! This tour is great for any adults or teens interested in New Orleans’ unique & complex cultural, racial history. Latoya shared lots of great ideas for where to go after the tour to keep exploring. Thank you!

Latoya is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Treme. She showed us various homes and businesses in the district that are black owned and still prominent.
