What To Expect
Rabil
Get picked up at your hotel and depart towards Rabil, the second most populated village in Boa Vista. There, meet the locals and visit a local handicraft production and appreciate the work of artisans who dedicate themselves to making decorative pieces with clay from the Barreiro
Pavoacao Velha
You will rive through the Povoação Velha, and visit some houses built with hand-made earthen bricks and thatched roofs bear witness, some still intact, it was the capital of the island until 1810.For older people, this is where Boa Vista’s history was born, and was the first town to be populated.

3.00It seems the organizers did not pay too much attention to the selected language and most was explained in portuguese. The englisch information was always much shorter and seemed to have less content, which I could confirm during a different tour, during which I visited partially the same spots and got a lot more insights. So, going to the lovely beaches, seeing the landscapes and sitting out in the back of a pickup is a lot of fun. Taking care of guests can be improved.

5.00All I can say is wow. My husband and I were the only two on the tour so it was basically a private tour. Right from the start we knew we were in for a wonderful trip. We saw parts of the island that you wouldn't see if you just took a stroll. We saw some incredible sights, turtles, sharks, sparrow hawks to name just a few. Our guide and driver were so incredibly helpful and generous with their time. We weren't rushed at any point, and the amount of information we were given was amazing. Santa Monica beach is just incredible. Would 100% recommend.

4.00Half day tour booked via TUI. Picked up from hotel and to another hotel for some.more passe gers then off to Rabil. It was lovely seeing parts of the island that I wouldn't have usually seen. Friendly village locals and some great history to be learnt from.thw rep. Once of main roads can be a bit bump, especially when off road going to Santa Monica beach. Lovely experience, bought some gifts from the locals and had a really nice time. 10yr old daughter loved the sandblasting. Nice little bar on Santa Monica beach. Ask TUI to drive you up ther if you're not that into beaches or going in the sea. They will gladly drive you over (cannot walk due to distance/terrain) where you can sit, admire the view and watch the world go by. Bliss.

4.00Impeccable, friendly, efficient staff without exception. Hotel in need of general repairs (Riu Touareg) It's a shame the kilometers of beach have a practically inaccessible sea. Very pleasant animation. Weak drinks (all inclusive)
