Not to be missed! Lagos Grotto Trips takes you to see the Benagil caves, located between Praia do Carvoeiro and Armação de Pêra and placed on the top 10 list of the most famous caves in Europe!
We leave Lagos Marina, passing by Alvor, Portimão and Carvoeiro, enjoying the view of beautiful beaches and the Algarve coastline. We will first visit the caves of Carvoeiro and finally, the most famous caves of the world - Algar de Benagil.
The caves are truly amazing with its clear water and rock formations of unparalleled beauty, an experience that will create memories for life!
Our trip takes place in a completely new 18-seater rigid inflatable boat (RIB) on padded benches providing genuine comfort during the trip.
All of our tours are led by experienced guides who offer a very personalized service as each one of our clients is important to us and our company.

5.00Hugo and Angelo were wonderful guides! We had a great experience on the water, they were engaging, funny, and informative! The tour was about 2 hours and I feel like we got to see a lot of caves and cliffs in that time! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick morning or afternoon sightseeing trip in Lagos!

5.00This is a must-do if you are in the area! Angelo kept the English and Spanish speaking passengers well-informed with the sites and added some tailored humor into his script. Hugo was the consummate captain and livened up what could have been a long drive out and back. I would do this again!

4.00The tour to the Benagli and other sea caves along the Lagos coastline was great. Our guide, Hugo, was very knowledgeable about the area, the history, and geology. He was very amiable. Unfortunately, the ocean was pretty rough the day we went on the tour which made it less enjoyable for me, but that didn't take away from the beauty of what we experienced.

5.00Great trip! We encountered dolphins on our way to the grottos and we stopped to watch them awhile. It was amazing. Hugo got us to many caves and grottos. He helped with photos so everyone could get a great shot. The ride back was super fun. Be sure to do this is in Lagos!

5.00Thank you Hugo and Hugo for a wonderful experience, great guides! Hugo the boat ride was superb and Hugo did not know the caves had names! What a great surprise to also see a family of dolphins on the way. Hugo was a super driver not one drop of water but boy was it windy. Abrigada🙏
