Had an amazing time on this tour to Hierve el Agua! Everything was well organized from start to finish, and the experience itself was unforgettable. The views are absolutely stunning, and getting to explore such a unique natural site was incredible. What really made the trip special, though, was the group and our guide. It was a group of 10 really fun, friendly people, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Our guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining, sharing interesting facts while keeping the energy light and fun throughout the day. One of the highlights was visiting a mezcal distillery for a tour and tasting. Even though I’m not usually the biggest fan of mezcal, I really came to appreciate it after learning about the process and trying a few varieties. It added a unique cultural touch to the experience. Overall, it was a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and great company. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oaxaca!

The pacing was really nice and the group was small and friendly. Leon was a very charming host! He gave us options of what we wanted to do and how long to spend at each place, so although it wasn't a private tour we still felt like we had some control over the day. He was funny and gave excellent food recommendations! Hierve is magical place to visit, take a small hike and swim in the pools. Good facilities there and food stalls- we had memelitas and a banging tlayuda! Leon gave us the option for a few extra stops at a bakery for delicious tamales with agua de chocolate, and also the Tula tree. The Mezcal distillery tour was excellent, Santiago was a knowledgeable guy and the dog quesadillas was so cute. The only thing I would have liked to do in addition was the chance to walk through the agave fields. We got back with enough to time to still have a lovely evening dinner in Oaxaca City, as well as it was too early start. Thanks Leon for such a great experience I'll never forget!!

The hike is nice, and even if the water is freezing, I recommend going for a swim! Leon was a really great tour guide.

This trip was great! Margarita was so fun and energetic. The drive wasn't too long and the stop at the bakery along the way was great. Hierve del Agua was well worth the trip and 3 hours was the perfect amount of time to go on the long hike, swim in the pools, and have a bite to eat after. The distillery was a lot of fun - be prepared to drink a lot of mezcal! Overall would definitely recommend. It was a great day.

Awesome trip with Margarita and Rodrigo. Stopped at a bakery first and had some good bread. Then headed to Hierve el Agua which was our primary destination and it did not disappoint. We hiked the full loop for best view of the petrified waterfalls and then had time to take a dip in the refreshing pools and finished with a quick bite to eat. Then headed to a mezcal factory to learn about the process of making the mezcal. And had tastings where we tried 15 different flavors and they were generous with the pours. Both guides were very knowledgeable about the area and Oaxacan culture and we learned a lot of facts. and made the tour interesting and fun. I would recommend oaxaca by locals company and definitely Margarita and Rodrigo.
