Amazing food tour with an excellent guide who was knowledgeable and passionate about food quality, its origins and history. Every establishment we visited was welcoming and celebrated the best food and wine Bologna had to offer.

We could not have asked for a better guide than Valentina G. She was very knowledgable, gave great recommendations, and made the experience very fun and inclusive. We even ran into Valentina the next day, by chance, and she was nice enough to stop and help us with food recommendations in the spot we stopped for dinner. Everyone in our party had a a wonderful time on this tour.

The tour guide we had tonight was clearly not ready for the job. We’ve been on many food tours, and this was in a whole different category. Our guide provided almost no context or explanation, didn’t seem familiar with the foods or the area, and was almost inaudible during the tour. She seemed nice and like she wanted to do well — which leads me to think she suffered from a serious lack of training. I don’t understand how the company has the positive ratings it does, and I don’t understand how they could in good conscience send someone so poorly prepared to lead a group. In my view, a business with integrity would refund the customers who took a tour as poor as this one. I am leaving a negative review (which I never do) — not because of animosity toward the lovely tour guide, but out of disdain for the poor choices of her employer.
