Damon was very knowledgeable about the city: the best time to visit certain places to avoid Traffic and crowds, or the best place to eat to fully understand the city culture. The lion dance performance was really interesting, so is the huang fei hong and ip man museum. Truly insightful to read about these iconic masters apart from mainstream movies

This is a great tour displaying the great martial arts history of the town, which itself is close to Guangzhou. Our tour guide, Zack of Guangzhou Local Tours, was an excellent planner, allowing us to get good front row seats for shows as well as see everything without having to rush. He also went out of his way to go above and beyond the normal tour experience, giving us a tour of the new Guangzhou downtown despite it being outside of the tour description.

We had booked a tour with Zack the previous day and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We had mentioned that the following day we were planning on taking our 5 year old daughter to Chimelong Safari Park and he suggested that since it was half way to Foshan it would be a pity not to experience the traditional Lion dance and Kung Fu show- we agreed. We started with a drive to Foshan and arrived a little ahead of schedule. We made our way to the IP man Museum and walked the beautiful grounds until it was time for the Kung Fu show and Lion Dance- which were brilliant. We then made our way to Liang's Gardens. My husband had asked Zack where he could purchase Menshen posters that we had seen the day before on the old sliding doors and as luck would have it, there were traditional shops selling them across the street from Liang's Garden entrance! After our purchases we wandered through the garden which was beautiful, the Liang Family art collection and flowers at the entrance were breathtaking . We then made our way to a street food market to try some local delicacies since we had traditional Dim Sum the day before. We then took a stroll through Foshan Lingnan Tiandi which was very beautiful with a wonderful balance of old and new. We then made our way to Chimelong Safari Park, which was really impressive! The grounds were clean and luscious, we started with a train ride within the park to see the animals and then took a stroll throughout the park and saw the White Tigers, there were cubs and new born's being nursed by their mother. We saw a playful Panda munching on bamboo and a multitude of Koalas sleeping on trees. There were so many animals and all well kept and happy. The grounds were impeccably clean! We all really enjoyed ourselves- there's plenty to do but half a day was enough for us. We took a cable car back to the entrance and it really felt as though we were leaving the jungle. We had asked Zack when leaving Foshan about the origins of the Lion dance, he said he wasn't 100% sure however by the time we reached our hotel he had done his research and informed us accordingly! We were very impressed and very grateful that he had taken the time out to enlighten us. Zack has been a wonderful guide, very helpful and informative but most of all professional. We would gladly return to Guangzhou in the future and explore more of the region with him. We had 4 days and really felt that we had covered a lot of ground. Our daughter loved China and didn't want to leave!
