We had a great time on this day trip! Our tour guide, Jan, was nice and informative. Our tour was in both English and French, so his explanations took a bit longer but he did an amazing job and hearing it in both languages didn’t bother us at all. The only thing I would suggest to someone looking to book this tour: do a bit of research beforehand on both Ghent and Bruges. At our time of travel (mid July) there was a massive festival being set up in Ghent, so lots of construction. Our guide mentioned it kind of deterred him from doing his normal route, so not really sure what we missed. The only reason for 4 stars, is because we didn’t actually go inside any attraction (no churches, no museums, no indoor buildings at all). That being said, there was plenty of time to explore on your own during the free time. But almost all of these exhibits/attractions cost additional money. Not a huge deal, but just something we didn’t know. For some reason we were under the impression that the alter piece in Ghent would be free with our tour, but it was 13€ per person. There’s unfortunately not a whole lot of free stuff to do in either city, although they are both very beautiful. To recap, great tour guide, great way to get to see both cities in a day. Did end up spending quite a bit more than intended by adding on lunch (would also recommend not eating at the reserved place if you are wanting to save $), attractions, and the boat ride (which was relaxing), but that could be my error and lack of research. At the end of the day it just felt like we paid for the transportation but there were no additional perks for being a part of the tour itself.

The radios don't work so you didn't hear the"guide" plus he's leaves hair the group behind. My mother is 82 and isn't able to walk as fast as the 30 year old guide. He just abandoned us. Then we tried to find the group for our boat trip in Brugge and could not, they owe us 30 euros for that, plus they left Brugge without finding us so we had to walk 2 km to the local park and ride and buy train tickets back to Brussels from Brugge. Horrible company. If I could give it zero stars I would. No just bad but dangerous

Nico was an amazing guide and did a wonderful job balancing our large group (and in two languages!). Ghent was such a surprise because everyone seems to want to go to Bruges, but I ended up loving Ghent even more.
