Key sites of the final days of communism were covered by entertaining guide Serban Riga. He ensured that we made best use of available time, & gave us an interesting insight into contemporary life in Romania today. Highly recommended.

There was a promise to take us to the pioneer village because the Parliament building was closed that day. It did not happen. Otherwise, a great tour

Another great tour, had the sane guide, Daniel, as we did for Draculas Castle. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Bucharest and was able to adapt the tour to fit in with entry times, and places that would be less busy, it helped being only a small group as well. Picked up from hotel on time and would recommend Sunday as the streets were very quiet so ideal for touring.

It was a nice tour including visits to the Ceausescu Palace and the Parliament Building. The Travelmaker Guide, Ms. Laura Boeriu picked us up from hotel and drove to the aforementioned places. Then we made a walk to see the building where Nicolae Ceausescu made his ultimate speech at the balcony, the Potatoe Statue and the Square of Revolution. It was very impressive to listen the story of Romanian Communist Period. Our guide was very friendly and helpful. I recommend you to take such an interesting trip in Bucharest.

Our tour guide, Laura Boeriu, was great. She was waiting for us in our hotel lobby at the scheduled time. She flexed her schedule to meet some emergent requirements that we had. She was able to arrange a last-minute place in the Parliament tour, which was an important way to appreciate the government at the time that it was being built. Our tour was quite interactive, as her explanations led to questions, and we were able to learn quite a lot. As the tour was nearing an end near our hotel (Hilton), we collectively decided that a narration of what could be seen from the terrace outside the Hilton Executive Lounge would help us to appreciate the neighborhood and the last days of the communist regime. It turned out to be a great decision, both because it provided an excellent vantage point, and also because Laura took the opportunity and time to paint a very vivid picture of what the last couple days were like in Bucharest.

Beautiful city where there are so many things to see and so many characteristic restaurants, I recommend the "xclusive" restaurants you eat excellent grilled meat, especially pork, temperatures always below zero are bearable.
