Since I ended up as a solo tour, my guide showed me much more than the markets; eg. the opera house. We had samples at numerous market stalls. She had them explain how they made chimney cakes before I tasted one- yummmm. And I had my fair share of mulled wine which was all included in the tour. Very pleasant and knowledgeable guide.

Our tour turned out to be a private tour since no one else had booked on the same day! Ferenc was an amazing guide!! He was so patient when we wanted to stop at different stalls, he wanted us to see what WE wanted. He provided lots of interesting information about Hungarian Christmas traditions and foods. Such a friendly guy, we felt as though we’d known him for a long time. Before the tour ended he gave us recommendations for a ruin bar, where to get langos, and more! Couldn’t be happier with this tour!!!

I booked through Trip Masters and lucked out with Laszlo "Leslie" who truly shared his city with us. He knew so much history and nuanced detail of his culture. He invited us to meet his city through his eyes. We met him at the opera house and set out on foot for a few hours. He was so relatable, made us feel so comfortable. We felt like fast friends. I loved this walking tour mostly because guide was so great! Highly recommended.

We booked this event and were very lucky that we were only allowed to do the tour for two with Fanni. So we had more time and all questions and requests were fulfilled. We had a lot of fun and laughed a lot. Afterwards, Fanni even sent me recipes. There really is no better way to do a tour. Thank you very much and we would definitely take fanni as our guide again.

Our guide (Odea) was fantastic. We had a very good moment, visiting the 2 different Christmas markets with all their specialities, but also walking into the streets and discovering the buildings. Odea teaches us all the history of Hungary and Budapest in details. I strongly recommend this experience.

WOW yes we had such a great time on this tour and we had the best guide, he did tell us so many great Christmas stories and Budapest history. I will defiantly book same tour with SAME guide next year as I believe we can have more stories to enjoy :) his knowledge of Budapest and Christmas traditions were above our expectations.
