5.00We were picked up at port. Prior to, received a very detailed email and text of where we needed to meet. Like most Caribbean ports, independent tour operators have to wait outside the secured area. They took us in an air conditioned van to the buggy garage. Outfitted us with helmets, goggles, and bandannas for our face ($5). They showed us how to use the buggy. And then went on our trip. We had the four person buggy. We drove around a little bit and then stopped at the butterfly farm. I definitely don’t need to do that again, but it did not take away from the experience. It just felt like I waste of time. And then we went to the riverbank. It was so much fun. Got splashed multiple times. It was exhilarating. my eight-year-old daughter was in the back screaming with joy the whole time. The guides were great and a lot of fun. There was a photographer that went with us. It was $75 for over 300 pictures and hundreds of videos. Good quality photography and memories of a lifetime. After they had the option for a buffet lunch, which we declined because we had other things to do. Next time I go back to the DR I will do this again. It was absolutely awesome.
