Many foreigners only know Busan is the second largest city and the largest port city in Korea. Not many people know that there is a large oyster farm near Busan and that a large amount of oysters are produced every year.

We will take a city bus from Hadan Station to an island village near Busan. We will look around villages that produce oysters and take pictures to remember. As you look around the village, you will see various tools used for oyster farming.

You can also see the workers doing the oyster shucking

When you travel, what you can't miss is eating food that you can taste locally. Near the fishing village, there is a restaurant that serves various foods under the theme of oysters. We will taste fresh oyster food at the restaurant. While enjoying the food, I will explain about the Korean food culture and drinking culture.

Su Yang was such a good tour guide. First we took a beautiful walk around a fishing island. He showed us and taught us all about oysters. He is also very knowledgable on Korean history. After a beautiful walk we worked up an appetite and we ate at a very famous and popular oyster restaurant on the island. It was excellent. I highly recommend this tour!!

The tour was resourceful as we were able to learn about the oyster farming culture in Korea. We were able to taste the oyster soup with rice and oyster pancake made from freshly caught oysters. The korean tour guide was professional, friendly and able to converse well in both english and Chinese. He also recommended other nice attractions and restaurants to visit in busan too.
