The souks, together with the “khans”, form an agglomeration of various trades where tailors, jewelers, perfumers, tanners and soap-makers work in surroundings that have changed very little over the last 500 years.
Byblos
Byblos: A thriving modern town with an ancient heart, Byblos is a mix of sophistication and tradition. The old harbor is sheltered from the sea by a rocky headland. Nearby are the excavated remains of the ancient city, the Crusader castle and church and the old market area.

5.00Roaming around the laid-back seaside neighborhood of El Mina is a must in Tripoli. The El Mina quarter juts out into the sea and is defined by its relaxed and quaint atmosphere. Buildings are old and beautiful, and there is a tenable small town feeling, complete with colorful houses, local churches, and charming back-alleys.

5.00The tour was customised to Tripoli and Batroun, and Fadil was very flexible and accommodating. Batroun and Tripoli both hsve souks. I found Tripoli's more interesting with much to look at. The castle also has a great city view. Wish there was more time to explore the souks but overall a good experience.
