Parque Arauco: One of the most important malls in Chile and Latin America. Here you will find various products from the best brands, along with an entertaining polo shirt that includes an outdoor boulevard with great gastronomic variety, cinema, theater room and an Infocenter Turistik (located at the entrance of the boulevard) from where you can discover Santiago and its surroundings. Nearby is Parque Araucano, ideal for walking, touring, picnicking and enjoying fresh air and nature.
Bicentennial Park: This beautiful park, designed by architect and landscape designer Teodoro Fernández, covers an area of 27 hectares and extends along the southern bank of the Mapocho River. It has two lagoons where black-necked swans, flamingos, herons and fish coexist, walking trails, an amphitheater where musicals, plays and other shows are performed, and an exclusive international restaurant called Mestizo. It is a perfect place to enjoy the outdoors and take one of the best postcards, which mix nature and architecture.
Cable car: This is the closest stop to the entrance to Santiago Metropolitan Park and Cable Car. It’s only a 5-minute walk to enjoy these entertaining attractions, like seeing Santiago from the heights on the Cable Car and reaching the summit of San Cristobal Hill. On the way to the park you can visit the Sculpture Park, an outdoor area with more than 30 sculptures by prominent Chilean artists. Also in the sector is the historic Casona “Lo Contador”, a beautiful building with Spanish influences of the late eighteenth century, which today is occupied by the Campus of Architecture, Design and Urban Studies of the Catholic University.
Located in the largest urban park in Latin America, the Santiago Funicular in Parquemet was declared a Historical Monument in 2000. Its entrance through Pius Nono stands out for a Gothic-style castle.
Plaza de Armas: The Plaza de Armas represents the true heart of Santiago. This type of square exists throughout Chile, because when the Spanish established cities they used this point as the axis of their grid plans. From this Turistik stop, you can tour the historic center of the city, visiting the historic buildings surrounding the square, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, Santiago Municipality, Central mail Casa Colorada and Santiago Museum, Former National Congress and National Historical Museum, among others.
Constitution Square: Around this square you will find some of the most important buildings and monuments linked to the executive branch of the State of Chile, including the Palacio de la Moneda, seat of the Chilean Government Presidency. Its construction was carried out between 1784 and 1805, was designed by the Italian architect Joaquín Toesca and its original destination was to be the Royal Mint, that is the reason for its current name. You will be able to view and explore buildings and landmarks including: Constitution Square, Palacio de la Moneda, Palacio de la Moneda Cultural Center, Metropolitan Quartermaster, Santiago Stock Exchange, Club de la Unión, University of Chile, Paseo Bulnes and Barrio Eighteen
Cerro Santa Lucia: Santa Lucia Hill has been one of the most important points since the founding of Santiago. On February 12, 1541, the monumental neoclassical entrance of the hill was completed in 1902 and harmonizes around a sculpture of the god Neptune an entire architectural set with curved stairs, swimming pools, a large terrace and a triumphal arch topped by a dome. The ensemble is a very evocative image of the lifestyle of the high society of Santiago in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. From the Turistik Santa Lucia stop you can see and explore places of interest including: Cerro Santa Lucia, National Library, Paris-London Quarter, San Francisco del Monte Church, Central House of the Catholic University of Chile and Barrio Lastarria which has a strong cultural seal where you can find art galleries, restaurants and cultural centers.
Plaza de la Aviación: The Plaza de la Aviación is an extension of Balmaceda Park, which was created in 1929 as part of the old Japanese Park, designed by Austrian landscape designer Oscar Prager. Its current name is in honor of the Chilean Air Force monument erected in 1980. In addition, in the square you will find a water fountain called Bicentennial, which is almost 70 meters in length and width of more than 25 meters, inaugurated in 2005 by the Municipality of Providencia. In this sector you can visit Parque Balmaceda and Parque Uruguay which are part of the green areas that run along the slopes of the Mapocho River. You can also stroll along Avenida Providencia, a lively tourist sector, which has different shops, restaurants, cafes and bars to enjoy Santiago.
Costanera Center: The Costanera Center is a complex that combines a modern and entertaining experience. Featuring the tallest building in Latin America with its 300 meters high, this imposing construction offers endless possibilities that starts with its wide range of products in the largest mall in Chile, where some of the most important brands in the world are housed. In addition to its extensive culinary offer, it has a terrace and a viewpoint, the Sky Costanera, which allows you to appreciate the city with privileged views. The complex also has cinema and its surroundings, with the maximum expression of modernity and progress, in front of the new financial district of the city, also known as Sanhattan.
Interactive Museum: Las Condes This stop is in the heart of the El Golf neighborhood, which gets its name because the entrance to the exclusive Los Leones Golf Club is only a few blocks away. Several of the mansions in the sector date from the mid-20th century and belonged to the family of the wealthy Isidora Goyenechea, the name that bears the main street of this neighborhood. Around this stop you will find many restaurants and cafes, as well as the Municipal Theatre of Las Condes and the Interactive Museum of Las Condes. In the latter you can travel in space and time through entertaining audiovisual productions in 3D format. An ideal panorama to enjoy with your family.

My favorite part was the funicular up and the cable car down. What a view! This was a great way to see the city and they had plenty of stops of Santiago’s best.

I booked this specifically to ride the cable car and funicular, the cable car was not working and I get the distinct feeling it hadn't been working for a while, nor was it going to be working. It was not a windy day, no reason given

We booked and paid for this tour prior to leaving Australia. On arrival in Santiago the cable car was not running on our booked day and there were only 5 Hop on Hop Off buses running for the whole day. Not a good start. I would like to think that a proportional refund or a credit could be applied. I will wait to see if anyone contacts me.

Very informative tour of Santiago with great facts and stories of the history of the city. What we really enjoyed was the relaxed pace. Did the 2 hour tour around the entire loop and then got off at the stops we wanted to further explore. The buses were right on time at every stop!
