At the beginning of the hike, you will receive a fresh bottle of water. Feel the thrill of walking above the Guadalhorce River from the north access point and make your way for approximately 2 .5 hours at your own pace and have time to take photos of the landscape along the route and admire the beauty of the Gaitanes Gorge.
At the end of the hike, you´ll get together with your guide again and the bus will pick you up, enjoy and relax on the way back to your starting point.

What To Expect
El Caminito del Rey
Select your departure point to know your exact pick-up time. A tour coordinator on the bus will accompany you throughout the tour to ensure the quality and good service during the round trip to the destination. Who will also inform us about the surroundings of the Caminito and Gaitanes Natural Park, times, and duration. We will arrive at the starting point “Restaurante el Kiosko” around 10:30 am where the famous Caminito del Rey trail begins. We will walk with our guide for 1.5 kilometers until we reach the official entry point where we must make a stop to equip ourselves with safety helmets. THE ADVENTURE BEGINS! Activity times Trail start: 10:30 a.m Trail completion: 13:15 hr aprox. Route: 2 hr 30 min aprox. Total distance 8km. ** Lunch on your own 2:20 p.m. The bus will pick us up at the meeting point. Between 4:15 p.m. and 5:20 p.m, we will return to the initial pick-up point.

5.00A visit to the Caminito del Rey is a little adventure. A breathtaking hike through a great gorge. It is about 7 km long, but you don't notice. The path over the wooden walkway is well secured even for children, no stroller since stairs available. You shouldn't be afraid of heights. We searched for tickets for a long time and decided to go for TripAdvisor, because that's where the entire park is. Pick up hotel bottle of water and get the best Guid with Esmeralda. She is well informed and can reproduce it superbly. Thank you

5.00Transport by bus, a tough walk and a great guide. What an unforgettable experience. What used to be the most dangerous hiking route at high altitudes has now become a beautiful and very safe walk right along high rocks. Even for people with a fear of heights. It is mainly a descent so with sturdy footwear doable.

5.00The excursion itself (Caminito del Rey) was an exceptionally cool experience, but our amazing guide Lois (think his name was that) was what made all the difference. He was not only knowledgeable and positive, but also made sure to give it that little extra. During the bus ride there and home, he provided us with very interesting and valuable information about the area, crops, historical events etc. With an experienced and professional hand he piloted us through this mighty mountain massif and made even the little scared feel safe!

5.00This hike was next-level amazing. The Caminito del Rey totally lives up to the hype—you’re walking along cliffside paths with jaw-dropping views of the gorge, turquoise river, and towering rock walls. It’s wild in the best way. Huge shoutout to our guide, Louis, who made the whole experience even better. Super friendly, full of cool facts, and kept the group moving at just the right pace. We never felt rushed, but we also didn’t waste time—everything ran like clockwork. Louis even pointed out spots we might’ve missed and made sure everyone felt safe and confident. Would 100% recommend—especially if you get Louis as your guide.
