Unfortunately this was not as advertised. The adverts states 10hrs - the trip was cut short. Hike to the Hill Inlet Lookout, leave footprints in the white silica sand - they didn't tell us that they would not be doing this until we were on the boat. Don't be fooled by the sails up picture, the 20 years experience captain just ran the boat on the motor the whole time and the sails were put up just for effect ( I have sailed and this was not sailing). They took us to a historic cave paining instead which, history wise was ok, but the staff were desperate to show us the cave then get back on the boat, all done in about 45 minutes - a far cry from the advertised hike in the white silica sands. I understand weather changes and plans need to change, but this trip is highlighted as a hike on the white silica sand. They should have informed us that we would not be doing what was promised and given us the option to cancel. The staff were very friendly and attentive, they tired their best to entertain us but in all pretty boring and a lot of people just fell asleep. Your best bet is to book a fast boat if you want to actually get to the white silica sand beach - a lot cheaper as well If you really want to do this trip then I suggest you ask the itinerary as you arrive at the dock, if the trip is not as advertised then ask for a refund or to move to another day.

We had the BEST experience on our Camira day out on the Whitsundays Islands. The crew were fantastic and treated everyone with a smile. Safety was noticeably important but with a fun twist. The food was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and planet of it. We finished the day heading back to Airlee Beach with beer and wine provided in the package. Would highly recommend Cruise Whitsundays!

A fantastic day out from start to finish. The Camira crew were determined that we should not go hungry and thirsty. Safety briefings were good and organisation from stinger suits to fins was great. We saw a turtle, sting rays and lemon sharks up close and had an amazing snorkel over one of the fringing reefs. Perfect!

The Camira sailing tour through the Whitsundays was absolutely amazing! From the moment we stepped on board, everything was seamless, the crew were unreal, super friendly, and made the whole day feel relaxed but still packed with fun. The boat itself is stunning, the food was great, and the stops along the way were picture-perfect. Sailing through that water, taking in those views, and spending time at Whitehaven… honestly one of the best days we’ve had up here. If you’re visiting the Whitsundays, this tour is a must. I’ll be recommending Camira to everyone, it’s genuinely one of those experiences you’ll be talking about for ages.

The tour was nice, we had great weather and also the food was great. Whitehaven Beach is uniquely beautiful. The reef we saw later at the Getting to see snorkeling was really nice and intact too. Unfortunately, due to the tide, the walk to the Inlet Hill Lookout was closed, but the crew couldn't help it, which was of course a pity. Because just from up here you can see all the beauty... Furthermore, it is important to be aware during the tour that this is a fairly large group that does not allow individual support. Grade as a snorkel beginner whrs not good. Everything seemed a little impersonal. Since we did two extremely authentic and individual tours with only 30 people before that, we were certainly a bit spoiled by it.

If you're a keen snorkeller this probably isn't the trip for you, as most of the time is spent travelling rather than in the water. In total we had about 40 minutes snorkelling and on this occasion it wasn't in a great spot. Having said that - the boat was amazing, crew all fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. All food and drink included in ample volumes and to a high standard. The stop off at Hill Inlet is breathtaking and a must not miss while travelling out here. Also be aware that all activities involve hopping in and out of a smaller tender, you cannot get straight on and off the boat - which may be a consideration for those with mobility issues or nervous swimmers.

We joined the Camira Sailing Adventure in October 2025 and can definitely recommend it! The catamaran was clean, well-maintained, and offered plenty of space for everyone on board. The crew was friendly and professional, and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The food was tasty, and drinks were plentiful – both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages were included and constantly refilled. The highlight of the day was definitely the Whitehaven Beach stop – one of the most breathtaking places we’ve ever seen! White sand, turquoise water, and that perfect postcard vibe. All in all, it was a great trip and well worth the money – especially if you’re looking for a relaxing sailing day with great service, good food, and stunning views. The only downside was the snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef. The water was quite stirred up by the large group of swimmers, so visibility was poor. After putting on the wetsuit, mask, and fins, the experience turned out to be rather unspectacular – especially compared to our snorkeling trips in Thailand and Egypt, which offered a much richer marine life. Our verdict: A truly enjoyable day on the water – only the snorkeling didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience. That’s why we give it 4 out of 5 stars.
