Description
Held every Saturday, the Can Cau market sees a mix of Flower H'mong, Black Dao, Phu La as well as Chinese day trippers that cross the border to shop. It offers fantastic photo opportunities of the minority people in traditional dress and lots embroidered bags, belts, scarves and other handicrafts are for sale. After visiting the market, travel about 20km to Bac Ha village where you will have lunch and then take a short walk to a Tay village where the houses are built on stilts. Enjoy an oxcart ride around the village or if the water levels are high, cruise along the Chay River and take in the scenery.
