What To Expect
Meet Chef Alberto and get ready to enjoy a delightful day of cooking, eating, and learning about the best of Mexican cuisine and the local culture. This cooking class takes place in the home of the Chef where you will learn to cook from scratch the best of the Mexican recipes. Every day you will enjoy a different menu: ·Monday - Steak, Pastor and chorizo tacos ·Tuesday - Barbecue and quesabirrias. ·Wednesday - Chicken with mole and rice. ·Thursday - Red and green tamales. ·Friday - Cochinita pibil On all the classes we will also cook: ·Mexican salsa ·Red salsa in a molcajete ·Guacamole ·Totopos ·Comal tortillas ·Rajas poblanas with cream Get ready to delight yourself with an authentic Mexican feast!

5.0010 out of 10 We had the most amazing cooking class with Alberto and his Mother! From the moment we arrived they made us feel so welcome that we completely forgot we were even in a cooking class - it felt more like spending time with family in their home. We learned so much about the food, the ingredients, and the traditions behind the dishes. Alberto explained everything so well and the cooking was absolutely incredible. The food we made (and ate!) was honestly out of this world. It felt like a real, authentic taste of Mexico and such a special experience. We’re already excited to try making the dishes again when we get home. Thank you both for such a memorable experience - we would highly recommend this to anyone visiting!

5.00My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this experience. Chef Alberto and assistant Lely (aka Mom) were welcoming, super friendly, and fully bilingual (we only speak English). Upon arrival we were greeted with hibiscus tea and then made tamales, green salsa, red salsa, pico de gallo, guacamole and tortillas all from scratch! Eating all our creations with a paloma cocktail (tequila, lime juice and grapefruit soda) was the perfect ending to the afternoon. There were lots of stories told and good laughter making the three hours fly by. In addition to Cookin' Cancun, check out Cookin' Los Cabos and Cookin' Puerto Vallarta which are hosted by Alberto and Lely's other family members.

5.00An authentic experience cooking delicious Mexican recipes Alberto & Lili welcomed us into their home. Excellent instruction, we learned new techniques of food preparation. Entrees, salsas and tortillas made from scratch. Definitely worth the price!

5.00Great experience! The food we made was delicious. The class is held in the chef’s home which also gives a glimpse of how real people live in Cancun. Our hotel arranged transportation so we felt safe venturing out. I would highly recommend this class.

He and his mom were so warm and they really do want you to feel like guests in their home cooking with them. The food and drinks were delicious! I highly recommend booking this class.
