On this day tour, we'll explore the dramatic scenery surrounding Canmore and the historic landmarks that tell the story of this former coal mining town turned mountain paradise.

Clothing & Footwear: Wear sturdy, waterproof hiking boots (insulated for winter) and adaptable layers (avoid cotton). Bring an extra base layer to change into for the return journey (especially in summer). Check weather conditions before departure.
Personal Gear: Please bring a small daypack, sun protection, and a reusable water bottle (refills provided).
Technical Gear: We provide hiking poles and microspikes/ice cleats if needed. USB-A charging ports are available in the van—please bring your own cable.
Child Seats: required by law for under 6yrs (≤18kg). Not provided; please bring your own if needed.
Waiver: required for all guests before departure.
Flexibility & Changes: While bookings are non-refundable, we understand that travel plans shift. If you need to amend your date or start time, please message us directly as far in advance as possible, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your request. Depending on guide availability, we can usually be highly adaptable.
Lunch is a grazing spread consisting of local meats, cheeses, and accompaniments or a deli-style lunch, depending on availability. We are unable to cater for specific dietary requirements or severe allergies; guests with specific nutritional needs are welcome to bring their own lunch.
Itinerary Note: exact routes, timings, and destinations may vary based on participant preferences, fitness levels, real-time mountain conditions, and safety.
Giving back: A portion of every journey is donated to a hand-picked charity supporting either environmental protection, Indigenous education, or animal welfare. You’ll have the opportunity to choose which cause your booking supports.

Ha Ling Peak
Morning Peak: We begin with an invigorating hike up one of Canmore’s iconic perimeter trails for a higher vantage vista of the valley below – either Yamnuska Raven's End (no scramble or chain section), Ha Ling (lower viewpoint), or Horseshoe Loop. Activity snapshot: Distance: 5km – 7km Elevation Gain: 150m – 500m Duration: 2hrs – 3hrs
Grassi Lakes
Afternoon Lake/Creek: After lunch, we descend to the valley floor for a gentler hike. We’ll explore the turquoise pools of Grassi Lakes or the hidden canyon walls of Heart Creek. Activity snapshot: Distance: 3.5km - 4.5km Elevation Gain: 150m Duration: 1.5hrs - 2hrs

This Canmore and Kananaskis tour was absolutely stunning! The day was filled with breathtaking winter landscapes, snowy peaks, and quiet trails that made every step unforgettable. Our guide Russell was amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience seamless. The small group, door-to-door transport, and included lunch made it effortless and comfortable. If you want a private, immersive Rockies winter adventure with gorgeous scenery at every turn, this tour is a must!

Fantastic full‑day hiking experience in Canmore and Kananaskis. The itinerary was well thought out, combining a challenging morning hike with a relaxed afternoon trail and free time in town.
