Cape Coast Castle
As the largest slave dungeon in the world, this castle offers you an experiential knowledge of what our enslaved ancestors experienced whiles locked up in those inhuman cells in wait for the slave ships. Built by the British in 1665, it became the most feared of the slaved dungeons under the supervision of the English. Take a guided tour here to explore all sections of the fort.

4.00Had a lovely visit to Cape Coast Castle and Kakum National Park. A little more time at Kakum would have been nice, not just the canopy walk. The tour and Castle guide were were very informative. The guide was friendly and attentive but did not have a basic grasp of the history and geography. He often contradicted the information provided by the site guides and challenged the known history. He spoke has if the history was all conspiracy theory or unfair.
