5.00We were met by Gilbert right on time. He was very pleasant. He has arranged everything in advance. The giraffe experience was super fun with an opportunity to feed the gentle giants. Next we went to the Cheetah Encounter. We learned a lot about these animals and even got to pet one and get a picture with it. Gilbert arranged a reservation at Cavalli Wine Estate. The food was fantastic, but it took a bit too long for we got the chef tasting menu with wine paring. I would recommend this experience to others.

5.00We had a truly wonderful day thanks to our incredible tour guide, Gilbert. From start to finish, he made our journey smooth, informative, and enjoyable. He drove us safely and comfortably to the Giraffe House Wildlife Awareness Centre, Cheetah Outreach, Lanzerac Wine Estate, and Tokara Wine & Olive Farm, sharing his knowledge and insights along the way, which made each stop even more memorable. What stood out most was Gilbert’s kindness and compassion toward one of our group members who struggles with carsickness. He was attentive, patient, and went out of his way to make sure she was comfortable throughout the ride. That level of care made all the difference and really showed how much he cares about his guests. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and driver—professional, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about creating a great experience. Highly recommend!

5.00Spent the day with Gilbert from Dove tours. He was prompt on pick up and a knowledgeable guide. First stop was to meet the giraffes which were hand raised having been rejected by their mother. We fed these gentle giants and learned a lot about their behaviours and their captive experience. Next we visited the cheetah experience. I had been concerned about its ethical connotations in regards to animal welfare and had done significant research before deciding to visit. My concerns we’re regarding the Animal handling by human beings and its affect on their well-being. The amazing and wonderful volunteers at the sanctuary put my mind at ease and I witnessed the animals being the ones who decided whether or not they were happy to participate. If they moved away, their wishes were respected and they were not forced to interact. Their body language was happy for the most part and the educational experience gained by the general public is targeted towards promoting their well-being in the wild and preventing human interaction destroying them. I learned about the program they currently want run with the breeding of Anatolia shepherds which are specifically bred to protect the farmers livestock from predators. With this protection the farmers no longer are shooting cheaters and other predator cats to protect their stock. It’s in inventive initiative providing grading roles into protection of the species in the wild. With this education we can only hope that the humans of this world learn to live more in harmony and look for less lethal methods of living together. Highly recommend this for any ethical minded animal lovers
