Simpson Bay
Captain Bob's most popular speed boat, snorkeling and beach tour is a full day, 5 stop adventure of a lifetime that is uniquely designed to show you the very best of both the French and Dutch sides of Sint Maarten/St. Martin. Departing from Philipsburg, you'll first head past the islands of Saba, Statia and St. Barts before passing under the bridge into Simpson Bay Lagoon, the biggest lagoon in the Caribbean. While sightseeing in the lagoon you will be taken aback by the size of the million dollar "mega yachts" of the rich and famous that frequent the island in the wintertime. After officially crossing onto the French side of the island you will make your way around Marigot, Happy Bay, Friar's Bay and finally Grand Case.
Tintamarre Island
Your first stop is the island of Tintamarre, an uninhabited island within the French Nature Reserve that is only accessible by boat and where large groups are forbidden, a great way to escape the cruise ship crowds. Here your knowledgable captain will give you a brief tutorial, provide you with snorkel gear and flotation devices and send you off to snorkel with the protected sea turtles and stingrays that reside there.

Great experience for the family. We have two boys 11 and 15 that had a blast. We seen sea turtles, stingrays and a bunch of fish. Stopped at three different places one had a beautiful beach and walk up bar available. The storm the night before had the water a little bit cloudy but still was able to see plenty of Marine life.

We had a port stop in St Maarten and made the right decision because Captain Bob’s is the real deal. The day started with an easy 10 minute walk to the dock, and we were off on the tour starting with a transit from Dutch to French waters through the Simpson Bay Lagoon, passing tons of yachts along the way. The snorkeling was incredible. At Creole Rock, the water was clear and full of life, and Mullet Bay Beach we actually saw barracudas and a stingray. We also spent time at Tintamarre Island, which was much more relaxing, and were lucky enough to spot a sea turtle swimming nearby. Maho Beach sitting on the boat at while a plane flew almost directly over our heads was a total rush. It’s an action-packed day that takes care of everything and gets you back to the ship on time.

Really good trip for a combination of sight seeing and snorkeling! The crew made it informative but very fun also. Cruising by Maho beach to see planes takeoff and land, and a swim stop outside of a fancy resort on a beautiful white sand beach were very nice touches to go along with a couple of solid snorkel stops. Highly recommend for an adventure around St Martin!

This was an amazing trip! I love the captain and 1st mate. They were not only very attentive to our needs, but also very knowledgeable. We had 2 very distinct groups.. the drinkers and the more reserved and it didn’t feel like the reserved group were missing out on anything. This tour is well worth the money for the amount of time on the water and the sites that were seen! I highly recommend this tour.

I had the best time on Captain Bob’s speed boat tour! Both tour guides were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. They made the whole experience even better. We got to see sea turtles, dolphins, stingrays, and so many other beautiful fish. The crab salad sandwiches were off the hook too. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!

Bob and Dillon are very nice and knowledgeable hosts and took care of all of the passengers. We enjoyed the info they shared about our snorkeling trip and the island, and even gave us some personal tips on where to go on the island. We saw turtles, lots of fish and urchins. The lunch was fresh and filling. Other than the rain at the end, we could not have had a better day.

Great way for beach and sun lovers to see St. Marteen by way of beach and snorkeling perspective. The high speed boat ride gives a touch of adrenaline. The guides were very fun and professional. They gave a lot of interesting information of the island history and were very knowledgeable. They really delivered and all points of intinerary were done. Great for semi-private or private excursions and was not overcrowded. Would use them again and recommend highly to anyone.

My daughter and I visited St Maarten in April for her spring break. We took 3 boat tours during the week. This trip with Capt Brett and his first mate, Dillon, was fantastic. The boat was a 35 foot speedboat. We left and returned from Dock Maarten which is near the cruise ship terminal in Philipsburg. We visited Tintamarre Island, Pinel Island, and Creole Rock. These sites are only accessible via boat. The boat was clean and well maintained. There were cushioned seats for everyone with some in the sun and some covered. People could choose where to sit. The provided lunch (a variety of sandwiches, chips, fruit ) and alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. The snorkeling was some of the best I did while on the island. They provided snorkeling gear which I did not need because I brought my own but everyone else used it. We saw a turtle and a stingray and many tropical fish. On the way back, we saw a pod of dolphins in the ocean and Capt Brett stopped the boat for a better look. The dolphins swam right up to the boat and then under it. Our final stop before going back to the dock was at Maho Beach so we could see a few planes land right over the beach at the airport. Capt Brett and Dillon were fun to be around and they talked to us and gave great information all day. It was a great day and I highly recommend this group if you’re looking to spend a day on the water around St. Maarten.

This tour is a must if you are visiting the island. It is well worth the money for the sights you see. This was a easy way to see the entire island, learn some history, and see things you could only see by boat. Its kid friendly, as long as they have a grasp on swimming, and the guides, Brett and Danny were amazing. They were quick to answer questions and give advice. While snorkeling, we saw tons of fish, sea turtles, and stingrays. We also got to see a pod of dolphins! We were recommended this tour by several friends before coming down, and I would highly recommend this to anyone that plans on visiting.
