Charent's Arch

This beautiful arch, constructed in 1957 by our talented architect Rafael Israyelyan, is dedicated to our poet Egishe Charents, who deeply loved his homeland and wrote poems about Mount Ararat. As you pass through this arch, you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Ararat.

Garni Temple

Garni pagan temple, the sole temple on the territory of the former USSR, boasts Greco-Roman architectural style and is constructed from basalt. Built in the 1st century AD, it was destroyed in 1679 AD due to an earthquake and subsequently reconstructed during the Soviet era. Its design is reminiscent of the small Parthenon in Armenia.

I absolutely enjoyed this 1-day tour to Garni, Geghard and Yerevan.
Samvel is a talented guide with an awe-inspiring passion for sharing knowledge.
I was taken to the pageant temple in Garni that offers an impressive view of the valley that surrounds it. Then, we went to the medieval Garni's monastery which was carved out of a cliffs. Later in the afternoon, we strolled around Yerevan and its main attractions while chatting about our cultural similarities and differences.
Samvel is a young ambitious person who truly loves his nation and culture. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants an informative introduction to Armenia's history and main sites.

The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, but we could have spent more time driving around Yerevan itself. We certainly had plenty of time to have done so, as door-to-door only took around 4 hours, which is relatively short for a 1-Day Tour. Also, I found it rather surprising to be told that the price I had pre-paid for the tour did not include transportation. Your write-up of the tour tells me All necessary equipment included. I would have thought a vehicle to be a pretty fundamental element of a trip of this nature. So I had to pay an extra 60 to the guides mate to use his car, with a large crack across the middle of the windscreen. I ended up paying three times as much as the advertised price, to get a short version of the same thing. Free drinks? I got taken to a shop where I bought myself a bottle of lemonade, but that doesnt really tick the box. And the restaurant we passed where I could have got a coffee, probably only does lunch, and wont serve just coffee. Since we then drove past it at 60 km / hour, I couldnt substantiate whether this was right or not.
