Isla was extremely informative and a lovely guide. She made a large distillery tour welcoming and personal. She was most responsive to all our queries. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience she took us on. 🤩

On arrival our family group including a friend from Sweden were made to feel very welcome. We had some nice soup and toasted sandwiches before our tour start time. Kay, our tour guide, introduced herself and gave us an overview of the tour and key safety points before starting. Kay gave a real homely feel to the history of Cardhu and interactive features of the tour as well as the tasting and for that reason we all felt this was the nicest distillery tour we experienced during our stay in the highlands.

Had a very nice and interesting tour of this distillery. Isla has given us an excellent explanation of the process. And the tasting competition at the end was a lot of fun. Unfortunately no winners...

Comprehensive tour, Kay is a very knowledgeable guide, great tasting experience at the end. Not cheap, but quite worth it.

We had a tour of Kay's house. It was fascinating to hear the story of Johnny Walker's history. But also certainly about the process about the distillation itself and the tasting. It's definitely worth it.

Visited Cardhu Distillery on the afternoon of May 2nd, and I want to sincerely thank the Cardhu team for their hospitality and flexibility. Originally, I had booked the morning tour, but due to transport timing issues I was unable to arrive on time. The distillery kindly helped move me onto the 14:00 session, which I really appreciated. The staff at Cardhu were exceptionally friendly throughout the visit. After seeing that I had cycled from Elgin, they even offered me complimentary snacks and tea. Because I also needed to visit Tamdhu Distillery at 16:00, the Cardhu staff thoughtfully allowed me to do the tasting first and prepared takeaway sample bottles for me. That level of consideration really stood out. I have now visited three Diageo “Four Corners” distilleries — Clynelish Distillery, Glenkinchie Distillery, and Cardhu — and all three delivered genuinely excellent experiences. One particularly memorable part of the tour was the whisky and ice cream pairing. The ice cream was honestly fantastic and worked surprisingly well with the drams. As for the whisky itself, Cardhu’s whiskies are probably not quite my personal preference. I generally prefer the waxier and oilier profile of Clynelish, whereas Cardhu felt lighter and softer overall. That said, Cardhu clearly produces many very good whiskies, and the tasting was still enjoyable. I also want to mention the tour guide specifically. Unfortunately I could not remember her name, so I attached her business card instead. Despite only having joined Cardhu recently, she was extremely professional and knowledgeable throughout the tour. The only negative point for me was that photography was not allowed inside the spirit safe area, even though production was not taking place at the time. Overall, this was still a warm, professional, and very memorable distillery visit. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Speyside.

While traveling on a Rabbies tour, we visited the Cardu whisky distillery for a tour and whisky tasting. I was so impressed with the interesting and educational tour, well designed visual aids, and beautiful facility. Our guide, Kirsten, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, cheerful, and easily answered all questions. I don’t even drink alcohol, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

We have been to quiet a few distillery tours and tastings and everyone has its own unique ways and tastes but this experience at Cardhu was so so interesting, with the history dating back to early 1800’s and still has history showing through. Kirsten our guide was so pleasant and knowledgeable making this our best tour yet, will definitely be back again, thank you

While this was a great tour from a whisky lover's point of view my non whisky drinking family enjoyed it too. It covered the technical side of distilling but with a little less emphasis. Instead it covered the history of whisky making, and what makes different whiskys taste different. Kay did a great job of explaining the age process and how that effects flavor. The actual tasting at the end was fun and informative. My family really enjoyed the cocktail tasting ( however I can't imagine why anyone would mix anything with a fine scotch). I developed an new found regard for cardhu.
