We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon! Our tour guide ( I believe his name was Brett!- it happened to be his birthday on the day of our trip !) was great, friendly, and made the trip fun. We started our trip with a kayak journey through the mangrove trees. Our guide pointed out some animals and explained some history and environmental/local importance to us for the area. He never rushed us even when a couple of the participants was having a very tough time kayaking. We next did an easy hike/walk where more nature/environmental and historical significance was explained. We saw lots of hermit crabs and even got to race them! Our guide pointed out land marks on the island, the coastline, and some wildlife like sea urchin and jelly fish and let us hold them if we wanted. He always offered and stopped for photo opps for us along the way as well. We next did snorkeling and of course got to see more fish and underwater life. My husband even saw a sting ray a little away from us! We followed this up by kayaking back to our starting point. I will admit I’m more of a lie on the beach kind of person on vacation. But I’m so glad I got out of my comfort zone. I’d do this again in a heart beat. Our guide was patient with our group of beginners. He really gave great info, support, education, and made the trip fun.
