Our very unique, immersive adventures are the only ones of their kind. We, unlike other companies, provide your very own remote, interactive, live host to assist and encourage you along through your phone. We are an Austin, TX-based global custom event design company offering scavenger hunts and other events in 300+ cities in North America and beyond. Our specially hand-crafted adventures are equal parts tour, creative challenge, detective hunt, and social experiment!

Guests get to discover in an alternate reality our favorite hidden gems off the beaten trail and creatively interpret fun art, history, and culture clues - for points! They get to enjoy fame and glory while appearing on our website’s international leaderboard, no matter what their score. They get to essentially race other teams in other cities, even if they don’t have competitors who have signed up in their city that day. Get ready to discover unusual oddities, laugh out loud, and make the experience your own!

Note: You MUST provide a correct, working, domestic phone number in your reservation in order for your hunt to be possible, since it is remotely hosted. Each team must bring at least one fully charged smart phone that has GPS and that can can send and receive data, photos, videos, and text messages. If you have an international phone number or encounter other technical difficulties, you must complete the game using WhatsApp or email. You can easily provide us with this contact information through a message in advance of your hunt.

What To Expect

Your creative, nontraditional scavenger hunt begins at a scenic spot that's a local favorite. You'll get your digital quest from your live and interactive remote host. Then you’ll take off on your own to experience a wide variety of carefully curated locations in town. You'll walk or drive to the various checkpoints as you solve clues, accept wacky challenges, and getting outside your comfort zone! Both family and dog friendly, the game alternates between the indoors and outdoors, with plenty of bonus challenges too! You'll text photos to your remote host, who cheers you on and assists, as you play to document your progress. You can even interact with the locals to solve clues. You won’t be able to avoid having fun, uncovering hidden gems and local secrets, making memories, laughing, and learning along the way! You’ll be part of the rich culture of this dynamic city! Every turn is full of surprises, so questions in advance are welcomed. Check out all 300 of our city hunts! Great for corporate groups, tourists, curious locals, bachelor(ettes), birthdays, families, friend trips, and other special groups! This was an absolute farce. There were no puzzles to solve or clues to decipher. We were given suggestions of photos to take and text into some sort of automated program. (The first suggestion was a coffee shop which was obviously a paid advertisement.) The suggestions to look for bison or Catalina tile were almost distractions for enjoying the island. Once we realized this was literally just a money grab for the vendor, we put away the phone and enjoyed the island on our own. This was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent on any attraction on any vacation in 60 years. Horrible experience.

We had a terrible experience with this company because it seems to be run by bots only! There are no humans to help and even though they confirmed that I paid twice for two different times, and we canceled the duplicate, they still charged me for the second reservation. It was 24 hours prior which is the free cancellation policy. Scam. The whole scavenger hunt clues could be generated on AI in about 5 mins. I was on vacay with family and dealing with this excursion was a gigantic waste of our time, and money! I am very disappointed and irritated!

I would not recommend this for anyone. First the only communication possible is with a bot! The bot started texting me the day before saying that I had 2 bookings. They wanted to confirm which one I wanted 11 am or 2pm. I had paid for both by mistake. Everything is confusing with this company. I confirmed 11am, the next day because I didn’t cancel the 2pm it was too late for a refund. Even though they literally confirmed 11am and implied the other was cancelled! I’m on vacay with my granddaughter and did not want to spend anymore time talking to a bot. We got our instructions for the hunt, it was just a list of things I could have generated myself with AI and not paid $20 for each of us TWICE!!!. I am going to do a formal google review when I get home but I am very disappointed and I don’t think you should do business with Ally Kats Adventure. Their online review is only 3.4, but on Trip Advisor it says 4.9. I would not have done business with a 3.4 company. I would like a full refund because we didn’t do either hunt!

I would not recommend this tour! It is not worth the money. It should be one fee only. Not a per person charge. It is completely self guided. The host is AI. Question responses are auto generated and don’t really answer the question. You are better off exploring on your own than paying money for no info at all! Do not recommend! Total waste of money!

We felt that $75 was too much money for what we received. There was no information about Catalina Island. We were left to "be creative" and "make up" our own extra missions. This was not a good value for the money spent.

We had so much fun figuring out clues and getting creative with our pictures and videos. Our live guide was responsive to our messages and gave great encouragement during our adventure. She was very flexible with a scheduling difficulty we ran into. Everything we needed was within a small radius and easily walkable

Excellent communication with Kat, absolute family fun. Best to be done in smaller groups in my opinion, we had a group of 10 and it would have been better if we split the group in half, which is what Kat suggested. Would totally recommend!

Very fun and interactive. Our guide was right there with texts and instructions and support. Dallas was our best cheerleader. Our teens were a little bit bored and ditched us to go get electric bikes, but we finished it with great gusto and fun.
