You MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to boarding to check in. We leave promptly at the scheduled time and cannot wait. When booking travel to the island please make sure to give enough time from arrival to island to get to tour departure location.
We are located on Catalina Island, You must secure transportation to the island to take the tour. There are no refunds if you miss the tour.
TRAVEL TO CATALINA IS NOT INCLUDED. Transportation needed by Ferry to Island.
Children Under 5 will not be able to participate in the tour.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
What To Expect
Catalina Island
As you venture ten miles into the rugged interior, you will view the protected side of Catalina Island seldom seen by most visitors. Have the chance to encounter wildlife such as bison, deer, bald eagles, ravens, or even the Catalina Island fox. There is a photo opportunity around every turn as we climb to the Airport-in-the-Sky. At this stop, visit the Nature Center and peer down at one of Catalina’s original Native American gathering sites. The fee to the Catalina Island Conservancy directly supports the preservation of the animals, endangered species, and endemic plants on Catalina Island. Tours leave from The Cabrillo Mole. **we highly suggest you secure transportation to Catalina island prior to booking tour to confirm you can get to the tour as the boat to the island sells out quickly. Catalina Express or Newport Flyer for your transportation needs.

1.00I did not get to do the activity due to there being two excursion companies. I went to the booth marked for site seeing tours. The employee did not ask which company I booked with and sent us to the pickup spot for another company. The correct booth for the Viator Bison excursion was the very next booth over marked with a sign for the water excursions. So my whole purpose of spending over $600 to go to Catalina was to do the Bison tour wich didn't happen. Only recommending because it should be a great experience.

5.00This was a great experience to travel to the interior off the island. Shelly was a great driver and Tim was a great tour guide. We learned so much about the history of Saint Catalina asking the way. It turns out the we managed to see a couple bison and one that was huge up close. The airport up at the top was fascinating. What a beautiful tour on a beautiful island. Would definitely recommend this tour if you’re coming out.

5.00Safari-like tour in open sided vehicle exploring the less-developed parts of the island. Scenery incredible. Wildlife was encountered: bison from a safe distance. Excellent driving and narration. Might not be for the faint of heart with twists and turns on some unpaved roads. However it is like being transported to another world.

5.00Sergio was our guide, he was very kind , funny and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour through the mountainous terrain of Catalina Island. We appreciated the information on the history of Catalina. There were many photo opportunities. We saw bison and some fox. Like the reviews say, it was a bumpy ride but well worth it!

2.00Great ride if you'd like picturesque views. Don't bet on seeing animals. Granted this is not the operators fault, the guide and the driver were great.

5.00We had an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable. Didn’t see any bison but about 3-4 lucky people did before it moved behind the foliage. Was a great experience. To see the Airport in the Sky was fun for me to see as my brother, Gerry used to fly in and out of there for lunch.

5.00We enjoyed the bus tour as we saw parts of the island that most visitors would not have access to. The tour guide was friendly and very informative as to the island's history. We saw bison, foxes, and hawks as part of the ride. We recommend you take this tour if you are going to Catalina Island
