Culloden Battlefield
We will travel to the Culloden Battlefield, where the Jacobites lost many a soul in the 1946 uprising. This was the last battle to be fought on British soil. If time allows we will give guests a chance to walk on the battlefield. Depending on tour we may not stop but just drive by.
Culloden Viaduct
After a half hour visit at Clava Cairns, we will pop around the corner to see the famous Culloden or Nairn viaduct, designed by Murdoch Paterson and opened as a railway crossing in 1898. It is a spectacle to behold – there will be photo opportunities.

The guide spoke slowly and very clearly, pointing out many places of interest at the correct timing. The free time at stops was perfect and not rushed.

We were asked to meet at 8:45 for a 9:00 tour. It was cold & windy but they kept us waiting until 9:20 for 6 no-shows while all the other tours had long left the area. They received many complaints from travelers to move on but refused and continued to foolishly wait. The 6 they waited for never showed. I think the only reason we finally left is because those waiting were starting to get extremely upset. We knew this late departure would affect our timeline but we were assured it wouldn’t. The 1st thing we were told is that the cairns stop was removed because the bus was too big. What?? As an outlander fan that was one of the things I definitely wanted to see. They obviously knew the bus was too big prior to putting it in their tour description and had no intention of going there. Very misleading. Then they took us to Inverness city & dumped us in a side street for 1.5 hrs in cold & windy conditions. We were not provided with any info or even toilet locations. It was a total waste of time, which could have been used later in the tour. The one good thing was the Cawder Castle & we did do a photo stop of Loch Ness. The guide spent a lot of time dwelling on Scotland politics, which seemed unnecessary. And finally, the other itinerary stop we were very interested in seeing was the stop to see the highland cows. That was removed for “lack of time”! The lack of time was completely avoidable and poor planning by the tour guide. We had kids with us & that was the main reason they wanted to go. Completely unorganized from the start and a negligent use of time. This tour does not follow half the itinerary they claim to offer. This company needs to manage their time better & not include stops in the tour description they have no way or intention to fulfill. We left very unsatisfied and disappointed.

It was a great excursion. Guide was awesome and we saw everything only drawback was we didn’t see Clava Cairns or Urquhart Castle up close. Our guide took us to a spot at Culloden where his ancestor had fought and died.

We had originally booked a tour called LOCH NESS, OUTLANDER SITES AND HIGHLAND and my friend had to cancel. I was told I couldn't keep that reservation because it was in her name. I was forced to book another similar tour, which did not have as many stops and was twice the amount. I was told that it was booked, which made no sense since 2 spots opened up because she cancelled.

Soaris (?) our guide was one of the most knowledgeable guides we’ve had on a tour. There wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer. His communications throughout the excursion was first rate. The tour itself was really enjoyable and educational.
