Federico and Eleanora were incredible! Gracious hosts and patient teachers. They were very engaging with my 13 year old daughter and we had a wonderful and filling mother-daughter experience with them while traveling in Bologna! Highly recommend.

Taking a cooking class with Rosa felt like being invited into your mom’s best friends house. We had a blast, and it instantly felt comfortable and at home. The food was amazing, and I already bought the few tools I need to make them again at my house! Cannot recommend Rosa enough!

Rosa was warm, talented, and extremely knowledgeable and generous with sharing her home and culinary skill. As she guided us in making three different kinds of pasta (tagliatelle, tortiloni, passatelli) we enjoyed great conversation and sharing about our cultures, history, families, and food traditions. We enjoyed the vino and homemade desert too. A terrific memory on our honeymoon. Highly Recommended !!*****

Our pasta-making experience with Rosa, our Nona, through Cesarine Cooking Company was absolutely unforgettable and one of the highlights of our time in Bologna. Rosa welcomed us into her home like family. She was incredibly personable, warm, and deeply knowledgeable, sharing both traditional techniques and stories that brought the food — and the region — to life. We made gnocchi, torteloni and tagliatelle completely from scratch, learning the proper textures, shaping methods, and regional traditions behind each pasta. The gnocchi, guided by Courtney Takita, was pillowy, delicate, and honestly some of the best we’ve ever had. The tagliatelle was classic Bologna — simple, elegant, and absolutely perfect. From hands-on cooking to sitting down together to enjoy what we made, the experience felt authentic, relaxed, and full of heart. This wasn’t just a cooking class — it was a cultural experience that gave us a deeper appreciation for Italian food and hospitality. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Bologna who wants a meaningful, delicious, and memorable experience.

We had a wonderful evening at Laura Ambrosi’s apartment. We were welcomed with a snack and a drink. After that we started right away to make the dough for pasta and in between we prepared the best tiramisu we ever ate. Everything was best organized! She even prepared some dough for the tagliatelle in advance because it need some rest. Our highlight was to make the tortelloni. It was well explained and we had a lot of fun doing it. After all that we had a super nice dinner with the stuff we made, some coffee and great conversations! The whole experience was the highlight of our trip to Bologna and we can just recommend Laura as a host! Thank you and we hope to see someday again! :)

If you want to learn the secrets of Bolognese pastry this is the place! My wife and I were welcomed by Veronia in a beautiful location in the heart of Bologna. The lesson was beautiful, immersed in a typical atmosphere, with pleasant background music and the magnificent stories of our amazing teacher. The lesson was fun and at the same time interesting and accurate. Time has really flown!

Staying at Rosa's house was like staying at my house: the same warmth, the same welcome. With infinite patience he taught me how to make tortellini, explaining each gesture over and over again, until I succeeded. Rosa does not just teach you how to cook: she transmits her love for tradition, from broth to the little secrets that make the difference. It was a beautiful, authentic experience that I will take with me. Thank you Rosa, really.

Paola was fantastic! Very welcoming and kind. We are so appreciative that she adjusted her schedule to fit us in at the last minute. She gave us so many insights and helpful tips for making incredible pasta. She was very patient in helping us learn and refine the techniques that we will be able to take home and use for trying to make it on our own. She said we passed but have to come back for a follow-up next time we are in Bologna and possibly learn some more recipes 😀
