What To Expect
Cesky Krumlov Castle
Your private guide and driver will pick you up at your Prague place. After approx. 2-2,5h of comfortable drive you start exploring the castle area of Cesky Krumlov including a unique revolving outdoor theater and interiors. Walk down baroque gardens in Viennese style, enjoy breathtaking views of the city, pass the most preserved baroque theatre in Europe and visit the classic interiors of the castle (optional, castle is open in April-October, castle interiors basic route operates on Tue-Sun; castle museum with view tower and castle gardens are open Mon-Sun).
Historic Center of Cesky Krumlov
After lunch in medieval tavern see the historical centre of the city with houses originally from 14th century, city hall, protestant church turned into a shopping mall, St. Vitus church and much more. There will be also time for some souvenir shopping.

5.00This tour was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Český Krumlov is stunning — from the fairytale-like castle to the winding streets, the breathtaking views, the delicious local food, and the charming Christmas market, every part of the town felt magical. Our guide, Michal, made the experience unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and customized the day exactly to our interests. The itinerary was perfectly paced, and we never felt rushed. Lunch and snacks were great, and the private transport made everything easy and relaxing. If you’re visiting Prague, this tour is an absolute must. It’s the perfect way to explore Český Krumlov with a guide who genuinely loves what he does. 10/10 — highly recommend!

5.00Our driver/guide, Michal was absolutely wonderful. We had a relaxing drive out to Cesky Krumlov, while Michal described some of the sites we passed as well a brief education of the significance and history. The castle and the grounds were beautiful followed by a traditional lunch at a restaurant in a medievil house. We had some time on our own to explore this enchanting little village before heading to our next stop. For us, it was a visit to the fairy tale castle of Karlstejn. Michal was highly knowable and we enjoyed hearing about the history of the Czech Republic. We would highly recommend this trip for couples or for families.

5.00We had a fantastic day with Michal! He picked us up at our hotel in a beautiful mercedes van, delighted us with interesting stories and facts about his country during our 2 hour drive, and then continued with a terrific history lesson during our visit in Cesky Krumlov. He had a wonderful rustic lunch spot picked out where we dined right beside the river. Bonus side trips on the way back to Prague! Very knowledgeable , fun, reliable. Thank you Michal! 5.00This was an absolutely outstanding tour! Michal is a fantastic tour guide. He met us at our hotel to pick us up, and made everything seamless along the way. Michal has a ton of knowledge about everything Czech and was full of information about Cesky Krumlov during the tour there...and also was a great source of information about other things for us to do. During the trip to Cesky Krumlov we toured all the key sites in town. Michal gave us the full story walking us around the castle before the official tour, the town, and other great spots in town for viewing. We had as much time as we wanted at each site, and after lunch had time to ourselves for shopping. Michal also took us to a great place for lunch that was filled with locals off the beaten path of the tourist groups. Michal parked on the top of the hill as we started an picked us up at the bottom, making it easy to navigate, especially since I have some mobility challenges. We had optional stops at other locations, but we were at the end of two weeks of touring and opted to get back to the hotel a little early. Michal also made sure to take pictures of us at the vista points so we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this trip with Michal, and any other one you see with him. You will not regret it!

5.00Cesky was a beautiful town and our experience was made more memorable because of our guide Michal. He was helpful, attentive, flexible and knowledgeable. He knew the answers to our questions even if they were not Cesky related, hehehehe. As we had extra time, Michal even brought us to the Czech Bud distillery and even brought us to a shopping mall for our last minute shopping (we were already going home the next day).

5.00Michal is an outstanding guide, who is knowledgeable, personable, and flexible. Communication via WhatsApp was great, and he was more than willing to personalize the trip based on our needs, interests, and abilities. Pick up was at our Prague Hotel, in a clean and comfortable van. Since the trip from Prague was more than 2 hours each way, we had lots of time to get to know Michal and hear about his family and life in Czechia, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Cesky Krumlov is a lovely town, and Michal knew all of the best places to take photos and shared its interesting history. Tours within the Castle itself are required to be given by a separate guide in small groups, which was fine. Lunch by the water was charming and fun. On the way back to Prague, he offered the option to see some sites along the way, and my husband, a abandoned castle aficionado, enjoyed the opportunity for a short hike with Michal to view the ruins, while I sipped a coffee in the small town.

5.00Our family had a wonderful day trip to Cesky Krumlov with Michal. He was informative, personable, and accommodating, giving us options for our activities and recommendations for dining. Having done many private day tours with different guides in Europe, we are so happy we chose this tour and this guide in particular. Cesky Krumlov is scenic and charming. The stop at Budvar to learn more about the original Budweiser beer was an added bonus. Michal is one of the best guides we’ve been fortunate enough to travel with and we highly recommend him and this tour. Well worth the investment in our Czech education!
