Not recommended for inexperienced swimmers or people with difficulty moving, The cab fare from cruise terminal is $25 per person. The Champagne reef is totally worth doing; it’s unique and spectacular. Consider going by boat

Great bubbles really seen! Guides a little shy, not much exchange. Too bad no turtles but lots of fish

This is a very unique experience. The staff are very helpful & kind. We were on an excursion from Holland America & one of our cruisers had trouble in the water. The staff helped her to shore & then made sure she got back to the hut where we had all our belongings.

The guide Zev was fun yet professional. He paid close attention to everyone in our group of about 20. The swim to the bubbles was a leisurely 2 or 3 hundred yards with several large boulders with moderate coral on the way to the bubbles. There was plenty of time to explore the coral. The champagne reef is as advertised-- an interesting phenomenon not seen in many places. The equipment was good. Most of the people in our group were on a cruise ship. We were allowed to keep the equipment and use the lounge chairs at no extra charge for the rest of the afternoon. I spent the next 2 hours exploring some of the Coral on my own. Zed, the lead guide, periodically checked in with us to make sure that we were comfortable and did not need anything. He was good natured, patient and considerate of all the guests. All in all, it was a very pleasant afternoon. Only caveat, if you are driving yourself there, the meeting point is hard to find. There was no signage noting Champagne Beach. You literally need to park by the side of the road, by Porta potties and a slew of taxis, and walk down a set of stairs to the entrance to the beach.

Zee was our guide and nothing was too much trouble for him. He is clearly experienced and was able to point out marine life we had missed. A great experience and on I highly recommend.

Champagne Reef has a nice variety of things to see. Lots of sponges, a few fans, a few anemones. Hundreds of fish. Some varieties of coral. Saw one eel. We were told the reef is still recovering from the hurricane. There was no significant current when we were there, so weak swimmers can do this snorkeling. Snorkeling distance is probably about 400-500+ yards or so. You can go a shorter distance, but you won't see all the sights. The bubbles are in one area, cannon in another etc. Definitely would do it again!

This was the best snorkeling 🤿 experience ever !! Zee was an excellent guide!! My husband and I were the only ones so we had a personal one on one with Zee helping us in anyway we needed. He was very patient! The champagne bobbles, the reef 🪸 and all the beautiful fish 🐟 🐢🐠 were very beautiful. The only negative is the walk on the shore of rocks. Very hard to walk and a little hard getting in and out of the water. Once again he helped with that. All equipment was provided. Definitely recommend!! 🙏🏻🫶🏼😎
