Crete is a big island and we only had 3 days so decided to stay in Heraklion. You cannot visit Greece without seeing Hania and the best way to do this is on George’s well curated and wonderfully executed day trip. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history, culture and sites of the island and we made many relevant stops before actually reaching Hania. I could not recommend this journey more warmly

Georgios was our amazing tour guide for our excursion in Chania. We had a small group of four and it was perfect. He took us to wonderful places with amazing scenery and we got to learn a lot about his hometown. This was one of our favorite excursions. The olive tasting and wine tasting at the monastery were a highlight! We would highly recommend this tour.

Unfortunately we had the worst weather day for this tour but we made the most of it. George came prepared with 2 umbrellas for us which was awesome or else we would have been soaked. George was very knowledgeable and nice. It was a long drive but well worth it to see Chania and Rethymnon because we know when we come back we are definitely staying in that area versus Herculion. I would highly recommend this tour to see a whole new area and have a great tour guide with George.

We went to Chania without any expectations. Our guide, George, led us through a set of curated experiences that showed how the rhythm of lives and civilizations continues through the centuries. He wove in his family history as we went through an olive mill and tasted the different grades of oils, walked through an Orthodox monastery and pondered our mortality at the ossuary, and wandered through the medieval old town by the bay watching families enjoy lunch by the waterfront. We left with a feeling of quiet delight, thankful for the opportunity to see this beautiful part of the world, and for the privilege of meeting a new friend who generously opened a window into this timeless culture. Bravo, George! We hope to see you soon!

I have to say that we didn’t have high expectations for Crete when we were visiting such islands as Santorini. But, thanks to George, it became our favorite because of all the interesting places he had us visit- an olive oil processing plant, a most interesting monastery with a wine and olive oil tasting and a delicious, authentic Greek meal. He knows his island and tailors his tours to his group plus a very nice guy!

George proved to be a very lucky choice to conduct our tour of Crete. He had thought carefully and wanted to show us as much of the local culture and history as he could in our tour of the island. George is personable, well-spoken, and thoughtful. His command of English is exceptional, and he makes great effort to be sure his clients are having an enjoyable experience learning about Crete. I highly recommend George!
