Canal Grande
“The most beautiful road in the world”, this is how the Canal Grande is known as. If you look around, what you will see is almost the same view that a 18th-century nobleman would have seen, and before him a Renaissance courtesan, and even before that, a merchant who lived in the Middle Ages.
Peggy Guggenheim Collection
Peggy Guggenheim Collection is one of the most important art collections in the world. Peggy Guggenheim, from New York, arrived in Venice in 1949 and began to satisfy her art addiction by buying this wonderful building where she put on display invaluable artworks for the whole world to see. The beautiful terrace you see is where Guggenheim sun-bathed regularly enjoying the view over the Canal Grande

Terrible could not find the designations hook up was notified on the 9th that meeting place changed when we arrived at the meeting place today the both operator told use the meeting place changed again and we could not find it. We also had an urban sketch class and that person never arrived. Talking to more people you have a bad reputation. I will be contacting my visa company and reporting a dispute if these claims are not handled and reimbursement is not handled properly.

A waste of time and money. It was a whole lot of nothing. A cheesy 10 minute VR presentation. Then they hand you headphones to listen to the “guide” tell you the same things you just heard on the VR presentation while you walk 10 minutes away to the gondola pick up spot. You then turn in the audio remote and throw away headphones you used for 10 minutes. So wasteful. No briefing on how the gondola works. We were seated on chairs facing in to the boat. You have to download an app to get an audio guide for the “sights” along the canal which were underwhelming at best. If you shift in your seat at all, to see something, the gondolier yells at you which btw is the only time he spoke to us the whole time. The route is boring and dark with nothing to see until you get out on the grand canal where the water gets choppy. Whole thing barely lasted 20 minutes. Not fun, not romantic, not remotely interesting.

Brilliant experience, well organised. We had a guided tour, who was very helpful and knowledgable. The gondola ride was for 5 of us and we was all together on the gondola. It was relaxing. Highly recommend it.

Great tour. Took a little time getting to location. You’ll have to to take train and then water bus but it was well worth it

Loved the information given, wish the Gondalier stayed off his phone. 30 min was enough for a general ride

It was good however felt very rushed and not personal. Our start time blew out by nearly an hour waiting in line. Bad organisation

The experience was very good-we had a short guided walk to our gondola departure point that gave us some history of the Venetian waterfront. Our ride was very peaceful and when we returned, we went to the 360° virtual gondola experience that took us through the history of the gondola in Venice.

The man rowing the gondola didn’t really tell us anything. No history of the canals, buildings we were passing and that was the bulk of the experience. I will say the VR interactive at the end made up for it but I just wish I had a more engaging guide on the boat!

The virtual museum was very interesting and immersive. The gondola ride was fun and peaceful when we went through the residential area. My friends went on a different gondola ride, and it started late and was very short. It was dark by the time they got on the gondola.
