What To Expect
In about 1,5 to 2 hours you will drive from Moshi to the Chemka (Kikuletwa) hot springs. On the way, you will drive through the gorgeous African countryside where you can see small villages, bushland, dry riverbeds, acacia trees and even a baobab tree. The underground Chemka springs provide for crystal clear water. The springs are surrounded by the roots of fig trees, which makes this place a hidden paradise. Although called hot springs, the water is not hot but rather pleasantly warm. Don' t forget your swimsuit!

5.00We had a great trip to Chemka Hot Springs. Chemka hot springs is a real hidden gem. In the middle of a dry area, Chemka Hot Springs is like an oasis. It was beautiful to see and very nice to hang out and swim there. Gea drove us to the Hot Springs and made sure everything was arranged well. We really recommend this trip.

5.00We went with mountainbikes to the hotsprings. There were several very friendly guides that accompanied us. The hotsprings were beautiful but the journey on the bikes was even more unique. Biking through the African nature and villages with mt Kilimanjaro in the background was an amazing experience. Make sure you don’t stay in the pool too late because you definitely want to be back before dark!
