Cannot recommend highly enough. Our guide Iris was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Our driver was also safe and careful. At the panda base we arrived at the right time and were taken to the right spots to see lots of active pandas without the crowds. The real highlight was the ‘fly restaurant’ which you have to experience for yourself. Let’s just say it’s not on the normal tourist path! The tea house is a bit of a drive outside the city, but it’s worth it for a truly authentic experience- complete with a Mahjong game with locals! The evening food tour to end the day was brilliant, and we went to spots I’d have never found for myself. The tuk tuk was a nice touch and the plum wine in the final bar was excellent. Iris is a fantastic guide, and if you do one tour in Chengdu make it this one. You won’t regret it.

Excellent tour of the Chengdu food scene and the panda breeding center. Started the day off touring the Panda center and then spending the rest of the day trying the different foods of the region plus some tea and mahjong. Tour was really well organized, and the tour guide was excellent!
