Government Museum
This is one of the finest museums established in 1857. Exquisite carvings, authentic relics, sculptures and other interesting collections can be found here. National art Gallery: has a finest collection of old paintings. Timings: 09.30 am to 05.00 pm (Closed on Friday)
George Town/Parry’s Corner
George Town and Parry Corner are two of the oldest areas in Chennai, and they offer a fascinating glimpse into the city's history and culture. Drive in George Town, which is located in the northwestern part of the city. This area is known for its colorful bazaars and bustling streets. From George Town, head southeast towards Rippon Building, which is located on Poonamallee High Road. This historic building was completed in 1913 and now houses several government offices. After passing Rippon Building, continue south towards Victoria Hall, which is located on the eastern side of Poonamallee High Road. This elegant building was built in the 19th century and was once a popular venue for cultural events and social gatherings. From Victoria Hall, head southwest towards Parry Corner, one of the oldest and most vibrant neighborhoods in Chennai. As you drive through Parry Corner, keep an eye out for some of the area's most famous landmarks.
